I'm promoting a product using my direct affiliate link using Google Ads. I got a few referrals as well that haven't converted yet.

The product's company shares the email address of the lead in case affiliates want to convert them.

Now, I don't know if we will call this audience cold or warm.

They do not know me or my business. They signed up to my affiliate link directly. But they do know the product.

So, what type of email marketing solution should I use, and how should I proceed with contacting the leads?

How should I introduce myself?

for you, they're cold audience because they don't know you. For the company they've purchased from they're probably warm because they know / trust that company.

there you go! As cold of an audience as it can be :)

the way I see it, you have 2 options: mass spam with short term gains (unless you're getting blocked / reported by everyone, in which case you probably won't make any money off them), or relationship building with no / little short term gains but long term gains.

Unfortunately, I've never done mass spam, so I don't know how to guide through this particular method.

But for the white hat method you could approach them with brutal honesty and hope for the best. Sure, probably 99% of the leads you contact like this will show you the middle finger and might even report you from spamming, but the 1% that will find you interesting might stay with you forever.

How should I introduce myself?
You could go something like this:

"Hi [First Name],

I noticed that you've purchased [Whatever Product] through my affiliate link, and I wanted to personally thank you for the affiliate commission.

Also, if you ever need help with anything related to this product (or to anything else in this niche / business in general) feel free to contact me via my personal email [insert personal email address here], or through my website at [insert whatever domain name here], and I might be able to help with a tip or two :)

Thanks again, and I hope you will enjoy the [Product Name] as much as I do!

Regards,
[Your Name]
"

Probably that 90% of the people that you'll send this message to will not even see it because it might land in their spam folder, and of the 10% that see it at least 7-8 will not care about you, so expect to have very poor results with this method (which is why you might want to go full spam from the get-go). But, if only 1 or 2 people of 100 that you contact like this will respond to you and you add these single leads to your list continuously over months you can end up with a nice list of buyers

Man, you're awesome. You have cleared up all the doubts for me. I will definitely use that email template. Thank you :)

I agree with this, but if OP warms up a separate domain / email address then if they scale appropriately they can inbox much higher than just 10%. Considering this is the long-term option and it seems like OP is consistently getting leads from the product, they could start slow and be able to constantly put new leads into their cold email flow and still get high inbox rate since they warmed up correctly.

Thank you. Which warmup tool or service would you suggest?
