Might be what your looking for, it's a mass emailing software. That is free to use.

many people confuse email marketing with spam marketing, you need to have the right list and proper mechanism and procedures in place ..else its all nothing.

if you have low volume emails go for desktop software , if you have high volumes go for hosted options.

How about just using PHPList , Open source and completely free.

If you have port 25 access, you can clean them yourself doing it command line. It will just take a long time, unless you script it.

Or just use a service to do it.. Couple of good ones.

Email Hippo (has 100 Free trial) - I had friends that use this, said it was good.
Unlock The Inbox Email Validator (100 Free Trial also) - I use this, It's good, just takes a long time for big batches and need to retry unable to validate.

There's another one also that's pretty good, can't remember what it was, it might be Brite Verify

Anyway, if you're doing smaller batches like 2000 or so or maintaining your list I would use Unlock The Inbox, if you're going to validate a large batch like a million emails at once, I would go with the email hippo.

There's probably a few other places too.
