Email Blast. IS IT WORTH IT?

So the other day I have found multiple sites and sellers for email lists. Is it worth buying email lists? If so, what would be a reasonable price range? And yes, I do have a server that can send out up to 1 mil emails a day.

I wouldn't. MOST lists for sale are shit: they're likely to contain the following:

- untargeted emails
- spam traps
- old, unmonitored accounts

Sure, you'll get some nuggets in there that are okay, but by and large, the best way is to build your own list.
 
There's definitely value in buying a list. You do have to do your homework before sending to a purchased list. Such as, cleaning your list thoroughly, using the right software and developing content that doesn't flag any spam traps.
 
Yeah, I didn't want to say ALL purchased lists are bad. I've had a few good experiences buying leads (mostly from CPA offer owners directly). However, I've had FAR more bad experiences, such that I just don't bother with it anymore.

One thing to keep in mind, if you absolutely must buy leads: When it comes to leads, you get what you pay for.

If someone offers to sell you a million records for $100, it's probably about the same as taking that $100 and throwing it on the fire.

I wouldn't really give much thought to anything under 10 cents per lead, and even those will probably only be inquiry leads. It's been awhile since I bought buyers, but last time I bought good ones, they ran about 40 cents per lead.

In the long run, you'll get MUCH better performance by building your own. It takes time, but you'll reap the benefits of an active list that recognizes your brand of communication and is expecting your emails. That can translate well into lots of $$$.
 
we purchased several lists also with 1million + but did not even get 1% of 1% response...most are a waste of money and time.
 
Think it's better to build it yourself. You never know what you're getting if you're buying from someone else, could be good or bad. You want targeted mails, not some spam lists.

Don't buy data OP trust me I tried it and there's nothing good about it. Below I have listed the
negatives of buying data.

1. You are spamming so it limits your ability.
2. Unless the provider is honest (unlikely) the emails won't convert.
3. Even if the seller is honest the data can have a honeypot in it. (sting operation)

Here's what you do to build an email list fast.

1. Create lead magnets and get double optins.
2. Cross market list with other people once yours grows!

Step 2 is awesome. Get someone to blast out your offer to their legit list with your lead magnet
while you do the same for them. Both of you end up with larger list.

This is a great response.

Something worth noting: If step 2 is an affiliate offer for both people, you can each promote the other's page via affiliate links. That way, while you're growing your list, you're each making a little chunk of change in the process.
 
Technically there is recourse for sending to un-subscribed emails. I had once heard it is a fine of $5k/ email. But who knows how that is enforced.

The easiest aspect in email marketing is building the email lists,or identifying your emails target and have someone extract them for you.It's worth every drop of sweat,like i always say u only know the value of an email's worth after doing some really good emails marketing with it
 
Those email lists could have been sold multiple times, so you never know how many people use them. I bet people from those lists are already annoyed about the number of spam emails they're receiving as vast majority of such lists are just brutally harvested from the web
 
I don't like to buy these types of services.
Because many people sells emails to many people by using same emails.
Its just like scam.

It's a kinda tricky strategy. You will make some money in a quick time, but you'll "burn" your list in no time. It's no wonder they call it a "churn and burn" strategy.
I would rather nurture and try to build a relationship with my list.
