Instagram is a better platform when compared to Twitter, for videos and still not able to capture YouTube's market share. Advertisers are pulling out of Twitter as it is and this guy wants to launch videos to give propagandists another option.

I'm impressed with this tangent for Twitter and I'm in the barrel with all the others that think Musk is NUTS but smart.

I doubt he's able to compensate content creators better than what youtube can just look at the difference in revenue by TikTok and youtube.

I think it would be better if every platform tried to be better at what it knows best. Even though Youtube is strong, it chokes on the idea of Youtube shorts. Let's see what happens if Twitter gets into the video...

I think Musk need to think something new on the market, you cant only just be a follower

Tiktok = leading short video market
Twitter = ??? Video market

He knows how to sell, that is his main excellence, but it's a bit funny that even us in here would entertain the idea.!
Can he make high quality long form videos and add revenue for the creators = Yes. and everyone can.
Will this overthrow or even be in the same arena with YouTube or TikTok = No way.
He should rather create new Videos platform and add in new ideas like TikTok did, but big companies trying to change/extend their old use case to that extent = Meta Failure.
If it is another platform under twitter umbrella it might have a better chance but that does not seem the case from his tweets, So it is just a billionaire flexing and probably trying to get famous Youtubers like MR beast to be more on the platform Twitter with it's new Mid form HD videos.
