I agree, but getting help is easier said than done. A person capable of this is too far gone to get himself help. The parent can't force him to get help because he is an adult. What is the answer? How do you force your adult child to get help? It's not as easy as it sounds.

I feel bad for these parents. Being a parent myself it just makes me sick.

People are the problem not guns.

In this case it looks like this person had psychological issues just like the guy at the batman movie.

People on psychoactive drugs should not be allowed to own guns, including anti-depressants. In this case the guy took his mother's guns and used them on her. In all likeliness if he didn't have the guns he would have found another way to kill people.
