Having issue in sitemap. one page indexed out of 14 after four days. I was doing work on without SSL website. Will it effect on my ranking?

I personally saw a small site wide boost when I switched to ssl. Others say they have not.

I doubt ssl had any negative impact at all. Was the site indexed before?

SSL has no impact at all on site rankings. Not in the short term at least. Some other metric might've caused this.

Big fucking 0 impact....another ussless expense forced by uncle G.

Google stated themselves that SSL has an impact on ranking, small but it's ranking factor.

ssl is just a security factor. it does not have anything to do with ranking a site.

If you are an ecommerce site, accepts card payments - Yes, ssl has some small effect.

For better crawl, have you tried submitting your sitemap to search console.

They did? I honestly didn't know that. Never seen people talking about it before either. Thanks I'll dig up some more info.

It's a small ranking factor - this is what you guys should keep in mind!

Google has alotof ranking factors and if you try to comply with them all, even if they are "small" they will count.

What i'm saying is small + small + small = big

I have a site ranking well without SSL (http), I want to change to HTTPS for obvious reasons but I've read several people here on BHW who got major rank droppings after changing. Is that something that still happens?

almost 80% of websites are using SSL.. I don't think there is any huge impact of SSL
