Got an email offer for renting subdomain edu accounts and I'm not buying it but it got me thinking of the value of .edu.
I'm a student at a university and a really good friend of mine is a professor there and asked me a while back to create his department pages for the art department. In fact I worked there as student employee but not anymore.
Daaamn! that could have been a good opportunity. I can still do it.
If an edu is say 5X the value of a .com of the same pr value, I can imagine it wouldn't take many edu links to give exponential value.
There was a site in the Bronson video which was rent an edu dot com or something and it looked slick but....97 a mo.
Ok: My point in starting this thread is to discuss strategies for getting edu links, their value etc.
