.Edu opportunity advice

Hi All,

I'm just launching a fairly long term business and I've reached out to my Almer Mater to see if they can help. They have an online magazine or publication where they feature Alums and what they are up to now. Each article talks about the new business but there aren't actually any backlinks of any kind included.
They've asked me to send all my info over, any thoughts on how I can ask for them to include the backlink in the article.
I'm more than prepared to write all of it myself and send it over them so it's as easy as possible.

Just ask them to link to your site and it will help their reader to find more info about your business. Is it that hard ? or Hire a good writer to draft a proper script.

Presume you already have your university profile correctly completed with a link in there too ?

I do not but will get right to that. Of course I could have my site linked but I was hoping to make use of anchor text to specifically boost a keyword we'd love to rank highly for.
