editing sig

usually to edit sig ide goto sig
use bb code editor - and have a little black
box to play around with the code and a save button

on clicking bb code editor i get a prove your not
a bot prompt, a white page and no save option
so er sig edit is kinda gone

Give it a little time - things are on their way up now.

I get the "prove you are not a bot" check too and I fail because I am a bot.

page with my sig code not the normal black box

i use to get a small black enclosed box to play around with the bb code in it.
and a save button after finishing under the black bb code edit box
black box has gone all i see is the above, never seen that b4 in 10 yrs
had me stumped, never had prove your not a bot to edit sig either

usually i get this - click the spanner icon
and all the bb code would appear in the black box
with save under it. i click spanner to edit bb and white page

when was bhw update done 18th? theres a reason i ask.
i noticed this on 19th. from 18th onwards my 3 sig links
all done by google url shortner have stopped tracking clicks
all 3 from 18th dropped to 0 clicks on 18th - the links still work
but google shortner page after 18th reg no clicks.
ive even had people click sig links they goto the site
but the google url shortner stat page is stuck on all 3
links at 0 from 18th could the forum update be effecting
the google url shortner sending click stats back to the
shortner page odd thing is biitly is working fine.
but im getting nothing after 18th on my sig links
and i av 10-30 clicks every day all year round

wondering if the broken sig has broken stats going
back to google url shortner page

The Google URL shortener is going end of life in a couple of months - they stopped working on it 2 years ago. https://developers.googleblog.com/2018/03/transitioning-google-url-shortener.html - time to change?

We're mainly working on hardware and infrastructure at the moment (good foundation etc etc) plus the fun of a DDOS thrown in so no core code changes yet. Could be related let us finish and then we'll see what's working. As an FYI my bit.ly's work.

but links continue to work. im switching them all
to bitly once i can edit my sig again

ok i click bb code editor icon https://i.postimg.cc/zXxPrBWc/aaaaaaaaaa.jpg
then i get error page https://i.postimg.cc/yNjDfw2c/bbbbbbbb.jpg
followed by this white page https://i.postimg.cc/gcCvQLgD/cccccccccc.jpg

as i said b4 when you click bb code editor icon spanner
the box stayed black and you could move the sig bb code
around inside the black box.

ps i was able to edit my bb code in the black box
last week no problems

Hey @Diamond Damien it's still happening.

I was writing a long post and every 30 seconds or so it would pop up and I would just close the pop up. When I was finally ready to post I hit the button and it popped up again, but this time without a captcha. I had to copy my post, refresh, hit post again, and finish the captcha, then got the same plaintext error message, but the post posted.

ive tried everything dd said via pm
3 dif browsers cleared cache - no add blocks
same error - im 99% its connected to the roll
out last week, virus scan clear
pc clean. only happening on bhw no where else
only started for me this week as i was able to edit
my sig just fine a week ago - now the sig bb code
edit box is gone.

Just tried it opening the "edit signature" page and no problems so far... Looks like its not widespread.
