Ebay Scam ? - Help

Good morning blackhat forum, I need your help, last night I opened an auction at ebay, I was selling 2 laptops for $700 dollars, and this morning somebody bought it , I didn't see any payment so far, and then he/she sent me this message :

HI,I AM THE WINNER OF YOUR EBAY ITEM,KINDLY GET BACK TO ME WITH THE INVOICE INCLUDING YOUR PAYPAL EMAIL IN ORDER TO CONFIRM AND COMPLETE THE PURCHASE ASAP.

This is the legit process ? I'm sorry , I'm a newbie with all this process, Thank you !

check your paypal account, if money is not inside tell him to piss off
also on ebay it will be marked as "Paid"

Don't send him your paypal email (you want the transaction to go through ebay) just send him a invoice by clicking on "More actions" then it should say something like "send invoice".

Looks like the douche is trying to scam you. Don't give them anything. Now you have sent the Invoice, wait for payment and confirmation from Ebay.

When I put "HI,I AM THE WINNER OF YOUR EBAY ITEM,KINDLY GET BACK TO ME WITH THE INVOICE INCLUDING YOUR PAYPAL EMAIL IN ORDER TO CONFIRM AND COMPLETE THE PURCHASE ASAP." into google I got plenty of scam reports, so be careful.

It's most likely a scam.
You can select buyer's requirements, it wont rule out all scammers, but will save you time having to deal with most.

I couldn't paste a link but google 'selecting buyer requirements eBay' and it should be one of the first to appear.

Whatever you do and for future reference- don't send items without receiving payments first!
 
Never sell an item outside of the eBay system. Everyone likes to scream fraud as the seller but no one looks out
for the seller. Buyer fraud is real and you need to protect yourself.

ALSO make sure to use tracking when shipping the laptops!

Thank you very much people ! , I sent the invoice but nothing else so far .. do you guys think should I wait until Wednesday to see if he makes the payment ?

He had good comments on his feedback but I noticed that he changed them to private.
 
I guess the customer just tries to avoid the paypal connection to ebay, could be a scammer since paypal usually sides with the buyer, especially if its outside ebay and theres no record of what was sold etc.
 
yeah that's what I was thinking I did google research and I found pics of the person, she looks old enough to know that's wrong, I think her account was hacked, it was created on 2007
 
I would just wait the amount of time needed until you can do the non paying bidder process if he doesn't pay up. This all sounds kind of fishy. I used to get a lot of scammers when I sold phones. If I thought someone was a scammer, I found out the best thing to do was to not even engage with them. If you're selling a hot electronic item that attracts scammers, I've found the best thing to do is require immediate payment. You have to upgrade your Paypal, but it weeds out a lot of scammers. I know it's hard to do that with some items but if you can do that it helps a lot.
 
Sounds like a scam, just amke sure that you dont let him pay you outside of ebay, don't disclose your paypal information, send him invoices througheBay.
 
Odds are, it's a scam. They don't need your paypal email anymore to pay through ebay's checkout system.

They're more than likely going to send you a phishing email saying that it's been paid, and it really hasn't.

Here's what I'd do: Ignore the messages, wait, open an unpaid item dispute. He's not going to pay. Re-list the items and require new bidders to have at least one feedback, OR do second chance offers to your bidders.
 
He wanted direct sale via PayPal so he could dispute the charges as soon as he recieved the laptop. Call eBay security immediately; he needs a ban. Chances are he's a professional and has done this before. There may be criminal charges pending as soon as they can ID who he is IRL.

OP I sense very clearly and strongly that you are just overjoyed at the notion of selling your laptops. You are planning what you are going to do with the money. Life is good, and the world is a beautiful place to be.

That is what the scammer is using in order to scam you; your belief in a future that is never going to happen. Under no circumstances should you deal with this person, no matter how he adapts the deal to your ignorance, er- I mean so that you feel safe. No, I really mean your ignorance. You aren't ever going to be safe, and your feelings (see above) is why you are very close to being seriously burned.
 
I have dealt with a few scammers who had good feedback. These accounts were most likely hacked into though.

Invoice him, and then wait until you receive payment. Report the member to eBay if you don't receive it.
 
I sent a report already because he/she was asking for my paypal e-mail address, that's against ebay's policies, you can't take any transaction off of ebay, let's see how it ends up

This is a SCAM. Only send them an invoice through pay pal. Most people who have pay pal pay it immediately anyways without an invoice.
 
Ebay is pretty simple you list things and someone buys them. When people try to change this very basic system it is highly likely they are trying to scam you.
