They are bidding using hacked accounts. Unfortunately there's not much thing you can do about that but re-submit your listing :-/

I love how Ebay can pick and choose what problems they want to ignore.

Exactly, they are always sending out those bullshit phishing emails. I can't believe people actually fall for that shit. Especially considering the grammar is usually horrible.

They use hacked accounts, have you read any of the thread? They take accounts and then use them. Usually US, UK or another major account.

its happened to me loads of times. i set rules about who can bid on my items but that doesn't always stop it as others have said. I just put up with it, what else can you do? Agree with fazee small items are the way to go, i used to make pocket money selling keyrings had no trouble.. before that i sold 2nd user IT kit and had endless probs.

I had a similar problem when I was trying to make money by selling iphones a while ago; shit is ANNOYING.
The only option is to set a limit on how much feedback they have, and even then you still might get some bc as someone else mentioned in this thread, they often use hacked accounts

I am using a large font size to make sure everyone sees it, the accounts they use are hacked!! I have had nigereans with accounts with 150+ feedback points! So you cant stop them! Ebay needs to make sure they deal with the hacked accounts problem!

On more expensive sales, just note that you will require XXX amount of days to process payment, draw the money out into your bank before parting with the product
I found this tends to keep the majority of scammers away as obviously they cant dispute with paypal and get their money back
most genuine customers understand some of the problems with nigerian scammers and are ok with waiting.

Nigerians can use proxies too. They use hacked accounts, they use anything they can. The only way to stop them is to get payment and let it resolve so they don't charge it back. This alone could kill your business, I doubt there is a very good way to stop this or else we would all be able to use it and stop from being scammed.
Blocking Nigeria would not help at all, they have access to other countries and they use proxies as well. Just know the basic scams and re-list, there might be a better way.

Guys these Nigerians are really getting on my nerves, they keep trying to convince me that they have sent the money and that I need to ship the product or my eblay and gaypal accounts will be suspended lol. Surprisingly they are pretty good at this the gaypal emails look real except for the fact that it says they are mailed by gmail lol. Anyway I think I will just report the email and hope gaypal decides to do something about it.
