Ebay for a living?

Why do I get the feeling that the last 5 posters before me are all the same person?
b.c they probably are. All joined same month, similar post count. Same short comment. Someone trying to build up forum accounts....

Our second income at the moment is Ebay , with my wife at home doing the hard yards . Some days we only make $100 and some as much as $400 . It does have to be treated as a business though and is hard work .

What do you sell, where do you get the goods, and how much profit do you make each day?

Well I have been doing sales on eBay and its hard to make living off it. Depends what your living looks like. Last month I kinda had a jackpot where we made around 10k in revenues but gross came out to be close to 2k and thats almost the same amoutn PP and ebay took. Now selling on eBay nd maintaining top rated seller and 1 day shopping and power seller status is not an easy job to do. One bad review and you do not look good..

But again, its a passive income.

Many people make a very good living selling on ebay. I had my biggest year ever since 1995 last year and this year is on track to break last years record.
It can be done through product research and multiple accounts.

I do not rely on Ebay to make a living but it is a great source of income.

ebay is turning into a full time job for me because it is getting me more money than selling anywhere else.

Never understood the fuss about fees. It's increased over the years, yes, but not that drastically.

In the grand scheme of things you're only losing about 12% after all is said and done from both ebay and paypal. Shipping should always be charged accordingly.

It's a fairly small price to pay for instant exposure to a huge market. Say what you will, but Amazon/ebay are your only options for survival in this game anyways.

When you find product with great profit margins you don't stress about the fees as much.

I'm an experience US based eBay seller looking for merchandise to sell please message me if interested.

Of course it is very possible. There are many people that end up quitting there jobs to give their full time to selling on eBay,
and making much more than they were at their job.

Hi there. I'm a single parent and have 4 kids.I make enough money on ebay not to take any financial assistance of the State.

It took many years though to find out what sells and how to satisfy your customers.

My advice to everyone is to never give up!!!

eBay fees do suck... i think im about to just not pay them and make a new account every month...

I use to know multiple people who made with ebay most however have stopped because of how high the combined fees are for ebay and paypal

Might almost be better to go with straight up ecommerce. You can dropship from amazon/ebay/walmart, etc. > yourwebsite. And take the money you'd be spending on fee's anyway and allocate to targeted ppc keywords that would net you the most profit. I'd use ebay as more of a guide that tells you how many targeted views you need to make the sale. Then do kw research for cheap targeted traffic of the same type. (dropship price) -(targeted traffic cost) + (what you sell item for) - (paypal fee's)= profit.

the hard part is to know which of the products can be advertise in order to get a good ROI, if any, when choosing to spend on ads rather than ebay fees that could've been spent.
Are you familiar with any technique of choosing that right products that should be safe to advertise, rather than trial and error? I would be glad to hear.
People use ebay search engine to find products they wanna buy, while in google this is not always the case. IMO the proportion between views ans sales are much better than you would get on google or facebook ads, but again I might be wrong.
