You are right, eBay is getting ridiculous with these damn fees!

Ha i do not think many make a total living as they want to think or tell.
Just some extra cash probably. But yeah some do i know.
 
eBay is a very difficult market to crack and to be succesfull on, a lot of people don't realise how much time and effort is needed to be succesful on it, so many sellers expect a hundred pound profit each day from a few sales of branded goods and every body picks the same fashionable and latest faze of goods.

I am now sending a lot of my ebay customers to my own free webcart shop, with better prices and deals on it, they love it and so do i!
but i need my ebay shop for initial customers, traffic and sales, my loyal and regular customers are starting to buy direct from my own webshop.
So any regular sellers on ebay - start that free shop as soon as!

Like you said it depends on the individual, their level of commitment and amount of capital they have to invest, I invest as much as i can back into the business, if i don't need it, i don't buy it, you have to have as much cash flow as possible.

So to everyone with an ebay shop or thinking about it, Goodluck in your venture.
 
I do. On the affiliate side, it brings around $25K/month. On ebay itself, I sell my little stuff time to time or even my sites...
 
It's still very possible to make a full time living on eBay, speaking from first hand experience. However, eBay isn't as straightforward as it was years-ago. Nowadays, you have to be careful about which items you sell because certain brands will get you delisted while other brands will bring you steady revenue. I like what Typlo said, with using eBay as a marketing tool to acquire users.
 
I have been strictly making a living for 3 years on Ebay and Amazon. Each site is quite different and both are difficult beasts to tame.
 
Buddy, I use but can't fulfill all of your condition.......it is not the large part of my income....I find lack of it's claimed facilities......good luck to you....
 
You guys must have some great niches to actually make profit, all I see is a huge amount of $$ on my invoiced seller fees

im currently selling some items on ebay. not enough to be making a living from, but if i work a little harder it may be.
 
it is definitely possible to make a living off ebay . Fees are high, so your margins need to be high.


In the US, you will pay12% in fees when all is said and done.

You willmfail if your margins suck. You will succed if they are high
