It may be dishonest... but iv found a few jewels out there that not many people know about.

Go to odesk or elance (or any freelance site) and create a job posting saying you are looking for a person to do offsite SEO. Make the job listing look legit.

The kicker here is to ask for a recent sample weekly report. Say exactly what you are looking for in the weekly status... site address and anchor text.

I did this about a week ago and got 30 applications and about 20 of them followed directions and sent spreadsheets with a list of sites that they use for backlinks.

Some of them were stupid enough to also include username\passwords to their accounts.

Its pretty much stealing somebody elses hard work.. but oh well.

Why do you think the BST threads here have 200 replies like "gimme gimme gimme samples please", and lots of those are from competitor link providers????

yep jerks like me. Well.... now there is another place to look.

you may be banned form freelancer's site administrator if they discover this trick

Well, what if they decide to neg seo you after seeing that you only wanted the free samples? Afterall, you do reveal your niche and website. I don't think I'd do that just for a handful of links...
