Because there are only 1000 results for every search so with your query you get 1000 but with mine you get 1000 every time you change the version number. Now keep reducing that version number and you get tons of results.

You got a point there. If I would try this method I would setup a review site where consumers can leave there review, and start it up with a bunch of fake reviews or scraped reviews from other sites. I would also throw in some bad reviews on other products to appear more legitimate and break some affiliate links with a message like: "Cause of the many negative reviews we have decided to not link to this vendor anymore". Obviously show a commentbox and autoapprove all comments or monitor the site so you can remove negative reviews on the products that you want to sell for sure. Do think you should add multiple affiliates, not only clickbank cause clickbank might not like it when you talk negative about certain vendors from there site.

Apart of that I'm more into authority sites on big niches, that allows you to create an unlimited ammount of pages that you can rank just like they are micro sites, however this time you don't have to keep maintaining multipe inner pages cause of the linkjuice that gets added each time you start a new page and rank it. After a while it will create a snowball effect on all your pages. Take a look at Amazon or nextag, they rank with very many phrases on the first page with a PR n/a and 0 backlinks to that particular page. Got to admit it's not a fast buck but it does provide a steady income stream after a while with less effort to maintain.

Some forums are closely moderated, so bumping an old posting might arouse suspicions. It happened to me :D
 
I'm very new to the whole IM thing, but i've spent the last week or so reading up, trying to find a concise way to take action, then i found this thread, read all 16 pages (my eyes hurt) but, ive found a niche, albeit somewhat broad but with sub topics i can use for reviews. bought a domain, hosting, installed wordpress on it and made it look half decent but not so slick as to be corporate looking (not that i could if i tried). written some impartial reviews of some products i found for my niche (mostly from clickbank but there was one from one other affiliate scheme) as well some general advice posts to provide some real valuable information without selling. did a little bit of SEO on the site for later on. set up google alerts for my keywords and related topics. Today i started using the results from the alerts to post on blogs and forums and anywhere i could, customising each post to avoid being spammy. just today i've got hits from the blogs and sites because i could see it on the analytics real time view. so this is me taking action to make that $100 a day

Hi there guys, Just wanted to report that I've stopped my posting for 3 days to study niches for a more permanent solution instead of my "weight loss" trial mentioned earlier. Today I got another 2 sales for $56.63 even without the posting. This method is good! There's even residuals from not working. Probably from old cookies.

Once again, I'd like to ask anyone out there for recommendations of CPA networks. Am looking for a niche other than "weight loss".

Basically, since mine is quite a broad niche, i'm using some different variations on the main topic, always in "Quotation Marks" though. Then i've got the names of all the products i'm promoting as well as relating keywords and questions on those topics. setting it to as-it-happens and all results, because i would rather filter through some bad results to find good ones, than risk loosing a load of good links by google not sending me them because they don't exactly comply. Just checked my email this morning and its bubbling over with google alert mails

Yes this method is just as effective as it was the day the thread was started and will be just as effective for months or even years to come. The beauty of this method is that your site in no way relies on Google, you don't even have to worry about getting indexed and ranked if you don't want to. It is a completely alternative way of generating traffic to your site. ;)

I've noticed that the limiting factor with this strategy is basically how hard you're willing to work with your postings, or how many people you have on your team to pump out the sticked posts.

Fortunately, many people are relatively lazy to learn and think so I feel it's a relatively safe system. The barriers of entry are how many hours you can spend, the amount of time you take thinking about the right niche and also how many employees you have that you can devote time towards posting.

I've been lazy and tried this system on an unoptimized site and already earned $250 over 2.5 weeks with about 70 posts per day (weekends free) on the ultra competitive "weight loss" niche. About 50% stick rate and 100 uniques to the landing page.

I'd say thats ok considering the slack landing page and the slack posts/day. I also love the fact that google can can't do anything about it and noone can ever close you down, you are truly your own boss. A truly awesome system if you ask me.

after a little bit of testing with the google alerts, i find you get better results and more of them if instead of selecting "Everything" you make three different alerts for the same keyword (ie discussion, news, blogs), this seems to get a better amount of quality sites to post on
 
Ok. So I have everything set up finally. Wordpress review site with 4 products, Google Alerts setup (getting tons of alerts). I'm a little confused about how to work these alerts. I've read where we can write a good response along with our link, then I also read to make a number of posts in a forum first before adding a link.
So if I get an alert from a forum, do I join the forum and give a good response with my link and hope it sticks, OR do I join the forum and build my post count up and hope I get another alert from that same forum later?

Also, instead of a link which a moderator may spot easy...would it work to say "visit WeightLossReviews. All the readers will know it's a website. This may be a dumb idea but just thought about it. (BTW my niche isn't weight loss)

What i've been doing with regard to forums is this, instead of joining them all as they come up, ive been making note of those that come up more frequently and joining them and slowly building up my post count on them as i get more alerts to topics on the forums, that way im not only building up my post cost, but it means that all my posts will actually be on the relevant topic of my niche. Yahoo answers has also come up a lot for my niche so im getting in there quick with my answers and not always posting my link, i want to get a level 2 status first so it will be clickable (considering just buying one off fiverr) Also the majority of my comments on blogs and news articles are actually being accepted so im getting some half decent amounts of traffic just from blogs

Good advice. I guess to build up to $100 a day will take some time, and being an active member to a ton of forums.
 
It's always better to build it slow and steady. While getting in before everyone is cool, it is better to build a database of sites in your niche with Google alerts. Build a rep there and see your sales soar!
