I just joined BHW a number of weeks ago and am very new to making $$ online. I have been biding my time reading a lot and slowly collecting confidence and information to start building my empire. I just wanted to thank you Meathead as in these last couple of weeks I have been returning to your contributions as you provide clear concise methods for me to get the ball rolling and make a few $$'s that I can use to invest in the bigger picture. Thank-you for the post and I am looking forwards to trying it.

Ok I started too!
Took me 2 days to find everything I need, good looking wordpress theme, products and adding some reviews.
It is copy/pasted reviews so I am still blocking google.
Anyway here it is : wlreview.com

I used 5 clickbank products to start.
Because my mind needs quick results:
- I used a review template, to look great.
- I took a short domain wlreview.com (like weight loss review dot com)
- copy pasted top ranking reviews

I copy/pasted reviews, if I see that I am selling stuff, because my mind needs to see results first, I will rewrite everything to unique content.
Because if I put in a lot time to write everything myself, and design a template myself I am one week further. And if after all it won't get any sales I am demotivated and I will quit because I put in a lot of effort and it didn't sell anything.

After rewriting I will allow google to index it, and then it will have a lot backlinks already then when indexing.
I bought the review template, because the ones I downloaded here where not working.

I used the weight loss niche because this one is big, and I know people will buy.

Today I started to register 2 accounts on a big forum.
Made with the first accounts some replies to other members and posts to look legit.
After 4 hours I just started a new thread, with the question if its a good idea to use an ebook for weight loss. and in a question of 500 words I put in my short domain wlreview.com
I hoped the moderators wouldn't see my domain name mentioned between that large pile of text.
But within 3 minutes I already received a warning
Because I was new I was not allowed to post links, damned
I apologized to the moderator, because I am just a simple housewife which want to help others

Anyway a bad start because I was impatient.

But to reply on forums you just can't post with 2 accounts a question and a reply in one day.
Does somebody knows a good solution?
Like first register accounts and do some replying and starting threads and after a week or something post a thread or reply with a link?

This means no instant sales

Hope anyone has a good solution for me.

I'm no authority and have not implemented this but I peeked at your site and while the site seems nice enough, your visitor sees SALES ITEMS as soon as they get there. They may be expecting that but if you had at least a paragraph in the beginning or a short and sweet testimonial, they might stay longer. I do know you have too hook the people when they're there. I'm not sure your presentation is going to grab onto people.

I'm thinking put the article up to and then get show them the product down the page. At least you've done something...I haven't

You should come off your high chair cause you only tell the noobs what to do and not how to do it in a solid way. The only thing you reminded me of in this post was, oh yeah Google Alert still exists.

I think you're missing the point.

If I wrote exact instructions, it would be completely pointless. Hundreds of people would try EXACTLY the same thing and then it definitely wouldn't work.

By leaving it relatively open to interpretation, people have been able to twist it and make MORE than $100 a day. That's a full time income in any country in the world.

Your knowledge is clearly more advanced than the average noob in this thread, so why not share some of that rather than just spreading negativity?

Why I dont start a thread like this? I don't need a lot of thank you's, and I think it's better to not share then to share a bad idea.

If you've been around here for any length of time, I sure you'll realise I don't just share stuff to get "thank you's". I really have better and more profitable things do be doing, I just enjoy helping people.

There are plenty of people who have been posting success stories with the method, so I'm not sure how you think it's a "bad idea". It works, it's been proven to work (and not just by me)... what else do you want?

You got a point there. If I would try this method I would setup a review site where consumers can leave there review, and start it up with a bunch of fake reviews or scraped reviews from other sites. I would also throw in some bad reviews on other products to appear more legitimate and break some affiliate links with a message like: "Cause of the many negative reviews we have decided to not link to this vendor anymore". Obviously show a commentbox and autoapprove all comments or monitor the site so you can remove negative reviews on the products that you want to sell for sure. Do think you should add multiple affiliates, not only clickbank cause clickbank might not like it when you talk negative about certain vendors from there site.

I just used Clickbank as an example, I wouldn't use them on their own either. I used them as an example as they are easy to get accepted with and have a wide range of products to review.

Once you're up and running, it's highly likely you can find better, non-CB products to promote.

The whole idea was to give a bare bones concept that DOES work, but requires some imagination to really crank up. I get a ton of business from G Alerts, so there was no reason why it wouldn't work in other niches (as proven by many in this thread).

So how do you deal with the "new account, not allowed to post links" issue? You prepare accounts on all the big forums to use for this purpose? I was already googling to buy used forum accounts but couldn't find any.

Start with the forums that don't have these moderation issues (yes, they don't get much traffic, but enough to get you started) and then work on building up posts in the restricted forums. Once you've been doing it for a few weeks you should be able to post everywhere.

Depending on the niche, you could also try buy signature space of people with a lot of posts. If it's a niche like gaming, you're probably dealing with kids, so the offer of a few $ for their sig will be a good incentive for them.

In addition to what dennis123 said above, you only really need an EMD if you are trying to target a keyword in the domain. This is for SEO purposes, and meathead's whole method is about gaining traffic without needing to SEO the money site.

Insanely easy method. I have started a review blog and set up around 30 Alerts pouring into my inbox as we speak. Already seeing some forum traffic dripping in, and longer term SEO will probably add to that. There's a time for reading, and there's a time for implementing. Done the first part, on to the latter

Shit, I really should start on this again, albeit in a different niche. I tried it in relationship niche promoting CB products.. Not the best fit, at least not for me (I tried it with a twist targeting girls as customers instead of the typical "how to get more chicks" stuff).

Not bad and it certainly shows that it works. Just needs another more lucrative niche and some more targetted posting.

Now that I've proven to myself that it works, I'm out to do this good and proper before trying the scalled approach with employees. Anyone got good suggestions for good networks? Am looking for something other than clickbank.

Well, I would recommend Market Health as they approved your account and let programs manually approve you. In surplus, they have just the right niches and payout rates to keep you happy

Well I had a broad domain which is tech-related and just started already. I've recently downloaded a nulled and simple Thesis WP theme from BHT and customized its settings (my image header looks ugly for now) that may catch the visitor's attention. I've also installed this with a plugin that manages and cloaks the affiliate links. I'm going to review mostly about tech products from Amazon, Clickbank, CPA offers and other third-party affiliate programs for at least 1 a day (I usually just rewrite them using Article Reviser and some little SEO tactics, but not much).

I'm pinging every time I post, comment on blogs through the Google Alerts technique and bookmark them. This is kinda tough though, but I know it pays off after weeks to a month of dedication (even if I had a full-time job).

Also I had 4 inactive domains and the niches are health, live streaming, game (EMD) and free offers....and my personal blog is still active which is more affiliate marketing but only less updates. I might work these out as well (depends on how much time I have). It's all about time management and discipline (but right now I'm having problems waking up early due to headaches and strange heartbeats).

We'll, I've almost bought an EMD today but your opinions just saved my money.

A footprint to find relevant vbulletin forums related to your target niche

1- Change keyword to your target niche keyword
2- Change 4.1.8 to lower version numbers like 4.1.7 / 4.1.6 etc...

I can't imagine why anyone would need to specify the version number. It would save time to omit it, so that you grab all versions of vBulletin that are out there. For example, the WF is still on ver 3.8.7 (as of today). Many site owners that use vBulletin don't like 4+, so they have stuck with older versions.

Here's a simpler revision of the code:

"vbulletin"+"keyword" inurl:showthread.php -/archive/

Change keyword to your target niche keyword

Other popular forum software are:
Phorum
phpBB
MyBB
bbPress
FudForum
FusionBB
WowBB

so you might want to search specifying other forum software as well
Example:

Try the other forum software names as well.


on an unrelated note, here is some food for thought:
meathead's method could be used to promote your own products/services as well. Its not just for affiliates.
1) Use this method to find a hot selling product, and promote it.
2) once you find a winner, create your own version of the same product, and replace the 3rd party product with your own on your review site.
3) Enjoy more money in your own pocket.
