hello. just had a thought today. i currently buy wholesale and wait a week for delivery then sell the item, post it, buy more stock etc etc.
i was thinking, it would be much easier to dropship from my supplier direct to my customer and also save me postage and packing fees.
has anyone had any experience doing this?
would it put alot of people off, having to wait 10days instead of 4?

Jonny

you are doing it the right way, you will hit more issues if you dropship, you lose part of the control and you may get a lot of complaints

I know there are savings to be made but the refunds will soon eat into that

Just buy a little more stock each time with your profits and you will be fine

Listen to wholesale, dropshipping will only cause problems/ get you negative feedback and returned items.

Why would people refund? Its nice to know why - lets me know why NOT to dropship instead of wholesale.

There's a good chance your wholesale company is just a middle man after a middle man. Do you think they will jump through hoops to order more inventory for you when you order it when their contacts are out of stock, or will pay their cut when another actual supplier wants more money for the same item due to the price inflation in China? People on eBay get pissed when you tell them their item is out of stock. The only way I've ever fought that is by offering an exchange on an item of higher value. Sometimes this doesn't even work.

Also, dropshipping never gives you something really good, called "buying power" when you say "Ill buy 1" you get the base price usually set by someone else. When you say "I'll buy 60" - people make stuff happen for a cheap price when you've got more than a couple dollars involved. This increase your profits, and because on eBay, the more you sell the more you can make if you become something like a TRS, the more sustainable your business becomes. Shipping gets cheaper too!

I made a lot of money doing it the way your talking about doing it. I'm not going to lie, in the end, it was because I was able to change from a dropshipping mindset to a wholesaler and retail mindset. It's extremely stressful, go look on eBay right now for some sellers from Hong Kong or China with more than 2000 feedback and save them, check up on them every week, won't be long until they themselves are suspended because they can't get the dropshipping model to work even though they are happy with very little profit (even for a lot of work), and very direct connections to suppliers and factories. This is why I know more than most about creating and maintaining new accounts.

i do wholesales,dropship,
dropship will be better for shipping fee,
but 1 thing, dropship shipping will be slow.

buyer will be worried.

Dropshipping works but just like the above posts you have to know your supplier and make sure you are not dealing with middelmen. You can always run into problems quicker when dropshipping but the flip side is if you have no money to invest in small stock for yourself this is a great way to get started, I started ebay with 100% dropshipping and did great but did also run into problems along the way. Always made a profit because I always worked out the issues and had close relationships with my wholesale guys. PM me if you have any questions I can help more if you need...

I don't know if anybody is interested, I can help you if you need a specific product from China straight from a wholesaler. I am not a company, just one person here on the ground in China looking to get involved in some projects. I'm sure there's a lot of professionals doing this already, but I'd be happy to work with anybody here and guarantee you're not getting it from a middleman through a middleman, but straight from the factory...I'd be the only middleman in the process.

PM me if interested.

Do drop-ship really can solve the troubles. And i can help you. the skype: junehuq

Dropshipping from China is a very short lived business, people see its from China and you immediately start losing credibility, additionally with customs problems, and packages that take forever to get there you piss off customers quite quickly.

I think it's tricky to drop ship from China. shipping time will be extended which will lower your DSR rating and risking downgrade of your seller account. Paypal will start holding onto your money for 21 days.

Return will be a a headache to handle and customer service with Chinese company will generally be bad.

how to get stuffs from China little earlier. it is taking to 16-18 business days to bring something. Can anyone help? please pm me
