I have heard a lot of two sided opinions on dropshipping from Aliexpress from a lot of people. Some say it's okay, the sellers are okay, etc. whilst others say it's absolutely terrible and that they've been ripped off. So what's your experience with dropshipping from Aliexpress and these sellers? Also, I want to start dropshipping from Aliexpress. Should I order a product first and wait 12 - 20 days to test the quality or should I just start the business without testing the quality first (so just looking at the reviews and hoping it's all good)?

nobody is going to hold your hand through it, try it for yourself and experience it yourself from your perspective IMO everybody will have different stories.

It can go both ways, I've gotten absolute crap from them with electronics. But if you're selling something like a Rubix Cube, Cups, Clocks, Lights, Clothes, or other simple things you should be fine.

These days there aren't too many problems IMO because the money is held in escrow. Anyone who knowingly sells crap isn't going to get paid, so there's not much of a point in doing that.

Hi! My experience with aliexpress dropshipping has been a huge mess. I tried started a dropshipping store from aliexpress and the problems I faced were :

· Bad communication with most sellers - due to lack of knowledge from their part of the English language there were more delays than expected when trying to get some stuff in big quantities, or sellers not responding at all.
· Shipping time - Some items took over 2 months to reach their destination! I was using china post registered air mail for all the shipments.
· Defective items - Some items were broken or didn't have the full functionality - maybe it was just that I had bad luck with these items.
· Promotional coupons - Even I specified to the sellers that I was dropshipping, and I didn't want any information about the store, some of them included promotional coupons of their business.

I have to add that I was targeting a European country, without using e-packet because it is not available there.

You should check the Ultimate Shopify Method posted here by nihalsad. It is a really good read and he dropships from aliexpress - they comment some of the questions you might be worried about in that thread.

One of the best practices is to go with the sellers that have sold the most items in the last period of time, and checking the reviews of the clients - so you know that buyers are not unhappy with the store.

Cheers!

Aliexpress is fine, just due your own due diligence on the supplier ratings, here is a helpful chart you can use

I think it's the better site for dropshipping, the only problem is the shipping time.

Well most of the time the shipping is free or very cheap, if you want a fastest time you can always choose the one faster and more expensive IMO
I can't understand why some people are complaining about aliexpress, the products are all for pennies and you can make even thousands of roi with no effort, You can't pretend for quality perfect customer support, fast shipping and buy for $5 fucking dollars. Do you want quality? Hire someone to check quality or check yourself, You want more support? start making sales or change vendor you will have your support, you want fast shipping? Choose a expensive one with fast shipment. Really stop complaining for everything when aliexpress literally changed lives of many peoples and we all can still make profit easily

always go for ePacket options, it might be free, it might cost a few bucks,
but it will cut down the shipping time a lot!
