Aom, DR and DA make dropped domain look good, but check its backlink history and previous niche before buying. If the old links still relevant and clean, it’s worth considering, but high metrics alone don’t guarantee results.

DR and DA would not be sufficient to evaluate a dropped domain i would look at the backlink profile niche history anchor text and reputation of the domain some dropped domains have value but the numbers might be overinflated and relying only on them for manipulation purposes is risky

using the expired domain with strong DA or DA is a good kickstart, but metrics alone doesn't guarantee the value. I will check the backlink history, relevance, spam score and content before buying. The risk is that google may ignore the inherited authority, especially if the domain is repurposed purely for link manipulation. selection of the PBN should be careful and carries risk.
