Dropped from #1 to #25, why?

If at the end you have figure it out what was please share!

Well it looks like Google got itself straightened out. I did go in and reduce some of the keyword density and sent 3 backlinks at the URL targeting the keyword. But backlinks and changes to content don't just shoot back to number 1 again as this did, it is usually gradual and with a lot of bouncing.

The drop out of the 20's around 5/5 was after I changed the keyword density. A drop, then a gradual rise is pretty normal when you change the content. But jumping from 37 to number one as I did on 5/13 is not normal. Then to have it flatline at number one is even more unusual.

In any case, I am happy to be back at number 1.

Because Google wants you to pay for ads homie.

The answer is simple, your competitors outranked you .

You don't drop to page 3 when your competitors out rank you. The drop would be rather gradual. It's not like 24 of my competitors suddenly got their SEO together and out ranked me on the same day.

The same issue happened to more sites, google is giving preference to sites with better SEO and looks legit. As we much depend on links, it won't work in the coming years I believe.
