Part 1:

I tried to use Dropcatch.com to snap a pendingdelete domain 2 days ago, its my first time to use a backorder service, and I indeed read several hours to learn a lot of related things, tricks, before using such a service. So I waited till the last 3 hours left and I backordered that domain on Dropcatch.com.

****about that domain: 20 spanish characters, spanish contents before, with .org extension, PBN used spammed, backlinks are strong***

For your information, by that time I checked that domain on Dropcatch.com, Namejet.com, and Snapnames.com, not even 1 single bidder shows, all shows 0 bidder. I even checked on all platforms at the last several minutes, and all shows 0 bidder. (Although I have no idea why there is a time discrepancy between dropcatch.com and namejet.com, around 2 hours if I remembered right)

Then, no surprise, dropcatch.com snapped that domain but soon I found, suddenly around 6-7 other bidders also bidded that domain, how could this possible?! I mean, it showed 0 bidders even in the last minute (I 100% sure of this I checked multiple times), and even on multiple platforms, and now why 6-7 more people already bidded on it and come out just from thin air?!

(I have to say, maybe this is my fault, I don't understand the system very clear, I didn't read the whole TOS or blah blah, but I swear I read all FAQ and no place to say that 0 bidder even in the last minute means there is no guarantee no bidders won't come out from thin air?! I some kind like wtf just happened?!)

So please I won't just blatantly say dropcatch.com is a scam, because if I understood it wrong, then its completely normal and innocent, its my fault then. But! If 0 bidder in the last minute in all platforms really means there is no bidder bid on this domain, then I can 100% sure dropcatch.com is a scam.

Its no reason, its nonsense, and some bidder even bid on that domain sooner than I from the time stamp I checked later, how could that possible LOL. And if that domain is that "hot", why dropcatch snapped it rather than another 2 biggest platforms, Namejet.com and Snapnames.com (oh yes I know dropcatch has powerful fires, so maybe this is just a coincidence)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part 2:

I have to admit, that after saw this happened to me, I was very very angry! Then I googled a lot since I suspect dropcatch.com will steal domains from customers, and I found this forum lol (sry this is my first time know this big forum, I don't invest names b4), and found many other angry claims, just by a simple search:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/dropcatch-com-stole-my-backordered-domain.950904/page-3
https://www.namepros.com/threads/fraud-with-snapnames-com-and-dropcatch-com.973103/page-2

http://www.abdulbasit.com/domaining...ackordering-company-with-worst-possible-issue

After reading these, I felt cheated by dropcatch.com, I thought "why I found a domain and give the information to dropcatch, and u use fake bidders to put the domain to go to an auction?" This is not fair at all!

Then I emailed the support, I said like this:

========================================

So if possible, please remove those fake bidders, I found this domain, I really need it for personal reason, while others will not interested with this domain.

I am the most active user on XXX, and I don't want to post my experience on it and Namepro.com, don't let your new customer down, remove those fake bidders for me. (sry this is not a threat, there is no point to do that, but we both know fake bidders are real thing so)

Btw, please approve my account, I already submitted the government ID, I can't bid on it now, thus you guys have to approve my account first lol.

kind regards and waiting for your reply

========================================

And yes! I DID say I don't want to post my bad experience on the biggest Internet marketing forum and Namepro.com (here of course), and I in case do not want the customer support misunderstood me, I intentionally said "sry this is not a threat, there is no point to do that" .

Maybe I said it not in a very good way or whatever, I am not native English speaker, however, I thought they should know that is not a threat.

And you already guessed what happened!

After several hours I got this email:

BOOM

-----------------------------------------------

hi XX

We also don't take kindly to threats to disparge our company because you didn't get the domain you wanted. As a result we have suspended your account and you are permanently banned from using DropCatch services.

-----------------------------------------------

Yes I was banned, permanently, just because I said its not a threat and I asked for remove fake bidders! LOL LOL

Then I replied again:

----------------------------------------------

hey XXXX

I think this is not fair, this is not the right way to deal with dispute right?

I said nothing, I said it is not a threat, yes you can deny that your company doesn't use "fake bidders" , no problem, because I have no proof to prove that either right?

you said" We have customers from all over the world not just English speaking countries, so it's possible the bidders are from a Spanish speaking country and have a legitimate interest in the domain." , I don't agree on this, I said in my email, at the last minutes, I checked again and again, in 3 biggest platforms, there are 0 bidder, zero. So how they are just "appear" from nowhere?

I am not here to argue with u anymore, no point to do this, and u suspended my account, I was about to verify my ID with my hand holds it lol, so yeah, if I submit my ID, could u please re activate my account? Because this is simply not fair, I still want to use Dropcatch, and I did nothing, just simply doubt.

---------------------------------------------

Then few hours another reply:

The other bidders didn't appear from nowhere. You were NOT the only person who placed a backorder for the domain. All the other bidders at the start of the auction also had backorders on that domain. That is why the domain went to auction. If you read the How it works section, you will see that the only time a domain goes to auction is if there were multiple backorders on a domain. https://www.dropcatch.com/HowItWorks/Faq

Instead of asking us how this happened you accused us of listing fake bidders, you also threatened to post negative comments about us online in your initial response. Such a response is not acceptable and that is why you are banned from DropCatch.

---------------------------------------------

Then I replied this morning:

cleardot.gif

I read the FAQ but actually its not like that, the situation, I said many times, that domain in the very last minutes, showed no people bid on it, its showed 0 bidder, even on all platforms, I know if more than 2 bidders against at one domain, the domain will go to auction, but apparently its not that case.

But its useless to argue, I said in the very first email, that is not the threat and u misunderstood me, I was very angry that time, I won't hope u understand the mood of mine at the time, but I said its not the threat, how a single mere person can threat a big company like Dropcatch? That's ridiculous, I said I don't want to post that experience on forums etc, and please remove the fake bidders etc. But now I THINK you are much more angry than me, and suspended my account lol

I am innocent, I did nothing, I didn't post review or whatever, but I lost my account, so, am I allowed to use Dropcatch again, or ban me forever, just because I said" that is not threat" ?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last part:

Since no response till now and maybe that is my destiny of backordering this domain, I found it by a very less known 3rd party tool and exposed the info to a big company, but clownishly wasted my time, my personal info, and even lost an account?! I won't call this a good experience.

All these rants from I you should please note, the prerequisite is, I am right on the "0 bidder" showing logic, I will clear it again, in the last minutes, all 3 biggest platforms (actually 2 with 1 has no info) showed that domain got 0 bidder, I mean, ZERO.

So, if that prerequisite is right, then I will say, I would 100% say, Dropcatch.com use a fake bidders system to inflate the price of domains, because by doing this, they can force a domain to go auction, and expose it to more people, thus maximizing the profit. (all about business actually I understand it but don't be greedy)

If it happens I wrongly understood the system, that "0 bidder" indicates nothing, e.g. if a domain show 0 bidder even in the last backorder time, it can still get 100,000,000 bidders, then its my fault, I false claimed dropcatch is a scam, and I will apologize!

PS: But meanwhile this, I must say goodbye to that domain and my account.
