Drive Traffic To Another Persons Site

I work for a product manufacturer who sells to big box retailers and as a way to improve our sales we were thinking of driving paid traffic to the purchase page of that big box retailers site ... any ideas on what the best way to go about doing this.

Create a website for the product, market it then have a list of retailers under where to purchase section for your visitors. Do the same on social media sites including youtube.
