Jnews theme doesn't seem to be working properly. When I install the theme, the necessary demos and plugins do not work.

You can't install jnews demos and plugins without a valid license. My suggestion for JNews is to buy it if you really are dead set on using. The jnews dev goes through a lot of trouble to make using it without a license difficult.
