Double Meta Refresh (Youtube)

So, let's say I don't want my network to know that I'm getting traffic from Youtube.

How would I go about posting the link in the description so that my referrer is blanked? I've got a good idea for a niche, but I'm hesitant to start on it without knowing that my AM won't see where it's coming from.

It's the offer directly. I figured the landing page wouldn't be necessary, as the offer page seems to have all it needs. Am I wrong? (Haven't made a cent yet, so..)

You can't do a meta refresh unless you bring them to a landing page.

If you want to make money and you're getting traffic from a site that the publishers don't want traffic from you're going to have to make a whitehat (a front) web site.

For example.

Some kind of blog can be your whitehat site with the URL


www.my-niche-news-blog.com the blog would be related to your niche and would appear to be a legitimate site that you will take care of and update regularly.

Then you have advertisements on that site, leading to the offer.

When the person clicks an advertisement they are taken to a page on your site called


www.my-niche-news-blog.com/advertisement1.php

That link will redirect them to your offer. And on your whitehat blog it looks like the person, if interested in the advertisement on your site, clicks it and is taken to that link. For the reason you're doing this, if asked by your network. You can use the excuse "it looks prettier/more trusting then a regular offer link and i noticed a higher click through rate when I made the links like that"

It seems complicated but it's basic.

The youtube people are clicking on:
www.my-niche-news-blog.com/advertisement1.php

in your youtube description but they're taken directly to your affiliate offer through a redirect. The affiliate will see it coming from that link and not youtube.

Hmm...but isn't that a problem if I told my AM when he called that I'm an E-mail marketer? Won't he catch me in a lie?

You don't have to tell them you're an email marketer. But if you already have, you'll want to blank the referrer not do a double meta refresh.

Regardless, you'll need your own website to do this but after a few sales you'll make back the money you spent.

Have a search for 'Blanking' (capital B) and you'll get results teaching you about it.

Ah. I was under the impression that a double meta refresh was one and the same with blanking the referral.

It looks like this might be a dead end for me. Having already borrowed money to purchase a domain, along with a purchase of Tube Toolbox (can't use the nulled version), I don't know how much more I'll be able to get. I feel bad already, promising my folks that I'd pay them back. (I'd think this would be a similar thing with a lot of newbies...)

They show advertisements but since you're doing blanking and redirecting it's not going to be a problem because people won't be staying around your sites for more then a second. It's worth a shot.

Just research referrer Blanking and get implementing.

I guess I'll have to unpark my domain from namedrive. I was trying that Virtual Visit method, which I guess doesn't work.

It's a really clever domain name...I wish I could share it here without consequence.

Oh...also, out of curiosity, what is a realistic amount of income to expect from this method, that being Youtube+CPA? I can dedicate a lot of time to it, and I have TubeToolbox.

Since blanking a referrer isn't needed for your purposes, just forward your domain with masking and the referrer will be your domain instead of Youtube. As simple as that. Of course if your affiliate manager lands on one of your videos and sees your domain they will pick up on it so in order to prevent that from happening, once you forwarded with masking and have your domain set up, create a link with a domain shortener so that way the chances of you getting caught are even slimmer. The last step is basically just to prevent your domain name to be seen as domain.com.
