Don't you think that it has become super outdated for Wordpress?

Straight up to the point I believe that Wordpress is an amazing tool that had done a lot of great for us bloggers or anyone who is looking to create a website on the go, but I believe that if you try to pleasing everybody you are gonna end up doing the opposite,

Well I am not trying to point or something I made this post to ask you guys on what do you think is a perfect alternative of Wordpress, something that is affordable easy to setup and on the go for us bloggers!

In my opinion, Wordpress is currently unmatched because it's free & easily customizable.

However, Squarespace and Webflow both have their benefits in specific use cases.

Nobody HAS to use wordpress in the same way nobody HAS to use cPanel on their webhosting servers.

However, they are SO easy to use, that it doesn't make any sense using something else.

This being said, I've seen some people building up their blogs from scratch on bootstrap or laravel. Anything that keeps you going.

Did you check the wix?

but i still belive wordpress is an amazing platform

If the website is small/medium use wordpress
If the website is big make a custom cms

really? I mean I just decided now to continue creating my own personal website to offer my services and I am using Wordpress platform. I believe its not! lol

WP has no match. On the other hand, I've tried NextJS with Contentful and I can say it's next level, BUT hard to do it and not cheap if you hire someone.

If you are just looking for blogging, then i am afraid nothing can match wordpress

But if you are looking to use wordpress as some sort of platform or product development, then dont because you gonna regret it later...always go for custom CMS
because eventually one of the plugins need update and it will EF up your whole system

WP is idiot proof almost, there are thousands and thousands of tutorials, themes, plugins etc.

Why make life difficult for yourself?

Blogger is pretty nice. Joomla and Drupal used to be big when wordpress didn't dominate almost the internet. They are still actively worked on and a lot of websites still use them.

There are static site generators out there like Jekyll and Hugo but those require knowledge of html/css and a templating language like Liquid.

Not really. The 'issue' with WP is that people think they need it in order to build a website. It's far more realistic to asses which, if any, CMS you need to get the job done. For example, I could use WP+WooCommerce to build a webshop, but I (and my client) could very well be better off using Shopify instead.

Developers need to listen to the clients' wishes in order to asses which, if any, CMS / stack is best fitting their needs.

Although I must say, a decently built/stripped WordPress-based site still ranks like no other. At least it does in my country.

The cms used has nothing to do with ranking. Just a correlation bias in your region.
