    Hi,

Don't you get depress and alone and have low self esteem working online?

I think it's healthy and normal to meet people everyday, waking up early and getting out of the house.

    Thanks.

I find it hard dealing with people face to face, so no, it’s ideal for me :)

Do you think people working online are all socially akward, fat and single? That’s a stereotype man! We meet people everyday and we engage in social events and such occasionaly, many internet marketers are fit as well

I know I know. There are many who are active offline, but I'm talking about those who are not. I'm talking about the average people. Who stay in the house everyday and rarely goes out. When a person let's say doing clickbank affiliate, he will sit home everyday alone, then he will rarely have any friend, then he will get socially awkward, then he will get depress and fat. I know there are people who are very active, like internet marketing gurus, but I'm talking about the average, who stays home everyday.

Well I dont think so cuase here they are also real people its just they are online and not offline and the advantage is that they are like minded here they like what i like thats why they are in this community sharing knowledge and about the health thing. You can get out and do some joging no one is stoping you from that .And as you said about the offline jobs they are also done nowadays in pc all day so not one is giving a damn about each other there.

Yes, u do, but there are people who don't have and who thought it's normal to live like this because he thinks everybody is doing it by reading this and other forums. It's very unhealthy to work online.

Last year I did a lot but now I go for more walks, hang around positive people, and think positive.

Just get out more often. I was just like that (working all the time) before I discovered lindy hop. Then my whole life changed. I am out and about a few times per week and I am a frequent traveler now. I think people need to find some sort of hobby outside IM .. and I am not talking about gaming and shit.

Yes, it's hard, depressed and lonely for the people who work online as a single or freelancer. On the other hand, it depends on how you manage your work. If you living for the money it really feels depressed after sometimes.

Depends. I don't find it 'impossible' to interact with people, it's just that online is better.

And yes, it is unnatural. Well, not everybody grows up through same surrounding and experience.

I try to stay relatively sociable. This is one of the main reasons why I maintain a full time job. It allows me to be somewhat strict with my morning regimen and wake time, gets me out of the house for forced reasons twice a week, and allows me to interact with people with similar interests

Besides that, I make it a point to walk my dog a couple times a day, which typically leads to interaction with others in the neighborhood. I hang out with some of my wife's surgeon friends 1-2 times each month as well, and my wife and I have a couple friends from high school who happen to live in the same city as we do by some twist of fate. We have a lot of similar interests, so we hang out with them 1-2 times a month as well.

That, plus getting outside into some fresh air and doing some manual labor every now and then is therapeutic. I mow the (currently dead) lawn, piddle around cleaning the yard, wash and detail the cars, and every now and then sit on the front porch with a book. Once a month I take a full morning to explore the city and take some pictures for one of my online projects. A couple times a month we head to the beach (30 minute drive from home, 15 minute drive from work) to relax, and once a week when I'm in office I try to head that way for lunch time. Sunshine and splashing waves is a great antidepressant.

I have recently been trying to be a stickler about exercise as well. The wife and I did ten miles last weekend in two hours, a nice light jogging pace, but got to interact with several other people, pet some dogs, and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather.

But yeah, I'm surely still depressed here. I still spend most of my day staring at screens. Still deal with the commute twice a week. Still pushing myself too hard with offline and online work, and still feel like there are never enough hours in the day. I'm working on a mindset shift though, and letting go of projects with a minimal enjoyment factor.

Making great money is awesome, but if you don't take time to step back and enjoy life, you are doing things wrong. Don't sacrifice a minute for a dollar.
