bet you anything that you are at fault. you will find more favorable stories on namecheap hear than complaint stories.

I did not do anything. Domains are completely problem free. They requested documents to open my account, I sent the documents and it was opened. Afterwards, I said that I cannot get the verification code because my e-mail address was stolen, and they locked my account again, they want the same documents again, I send them, they cannot be reached in any way.

Never had issue with Namecheap, im with them for ages now, having over 40 domains constantly.
If there is an issue with the domain, they wont allow you or ask you if you are sure to link to their hosting.
Once, I did force them, and they just lock the domain to be used on their hosting, nothing more than that.

Well, something similar happened with me when I purchased many cheap tld domains for a throwaway project. They suspended the account and I couldn't register the domains somewhere else. I think some other service would be better because as soon as a company starts getting recognition they do shitty things like these. I only use namecheap for legitimate projects now.

I have been using their services from long time never had any issue.
Infact if someone asks me i suggest namecheap because of their customer service

Never had issues with them and way better than godaddy or others. Just get on phone with them and it will hopefully get resolved. Stop the back and forth via mail

Namecheap customer service is one of the best among domain registrar's. I was also once locked out of my account and had lost the email id to login but they managed to get me back my account. It took almost an hour on chat with the customer representative but in the end I was able to log in to my account.
Obviously they do and will carry out their own checks and balances before giving you access. In the end remember that you are only responsible for getting locked out of your account, then that will reduce your angst.

Same here, at a point i had 30+ Registered domains with them, and even one DMCA domain takeover due to using a trademarked name. Still my account is working fine. And i prefer them over other domain vendors.

Same here. I am with Namecheap 4 years with over 10 websites and not a single problem.
