I live in the U.K, not even in London (capital)
Housing: £1,350 a month ~$1.7k
After all the bills comes to £1.8k ~$2,300.
This doesn't include food, entertainment etc.
Just housing, council tax, water, gas, electricity.
Average salary outside of London, £32,000 (this is average but most people on £28k IMO)
Which 32k after Taxes is £2650 p/m.
£850 disposable after just the rent and housing bills. Good luck with food, car, car insurance and the rest.
IMO impossible to live single unless you have are a high income earner of above £50,000 which is rare outside London unless working remote.
Then after £50,000 you are in the nice 40% tax bracket good bye earnings
