You make about $600 per month if you work full time at McDonald's in Romania.

In my country the average nationwide wage is about $350 a month

$600 a month - is a high earner (Teachers, nurses, etc)
$2000 a month - You are a god (politicians, top managers)

We don't have McDonalds here, but employees in the food industry get about $150 a month

As with any other place - cost of living like rent, food, greatly is influenced by location. Woodfield Illinois, is significantly different than Chicago Illinois.... Can say the same for any area around the world.

McDonald's HQ is in the Chicago suburbs - Oak Brook, which can be a costly place to live. Also using fringe cases like liquidation laptops from marketplace is an exception; not everyone will see that, be able to get one, or have access to something similar.

@Assclown when you are there, you won't be able to live off that. As he said, if you are on your own, you will be homeless.

If you can find some rent with another 4 persons, then you will be able to save a little bit.

You might be better off in your country and trying to make something out online.

entry level @$1k-$1.5k, full stack senior $5k+
The thing is that this is the only field in RO where the actual (shitty) income salary doesn't keep the pace with the rest of the country. The guys from IT are smart enough to work remote and make big bucks. We have a hell of fiber link infrastructure fast and cheap as hell. Unlimited bandwidth with 9e/month, 1gb/s download and half speed upload. In some parts of the country they have 100gb/s with 50euro, crazy!

And still, we are at the bottom of the Europe in terms of payment, cause the IT guys are way under priced in relation to how much they do. Big whales come here (for tax purposes as well, cause it's a bit of tax heaven, at least it was till last year) like Amazon, Continental, Google and Tesla is bringing some offices as well because work hand is cheaper.

But still, at $500-$600/month you can rent a duplex or 3-room apartment in capital/big cities. If you make $1.5k/month you're kind in top 10% earners here

if you work two shifts in a row you win double

it doesnt take much effort physically

if you're not physically strong you could try and train with an app called

six pack in 30 days

for 90 days then you get a job where you spend 5% of your strength
