Dont give up people!

Just thought I'd post to say that I have tried everything to get into the ytpp, ai shorts, quiz videos, low quality auto generated videos and never came close.

The only time I started making money, was when I started doing videos I ENJOYED making, and doing affiliate marketing.

I have been making around $500 a month with affiliates, and it is going up as the videos become more popular.

Then, all of a sudden, people are actually watching, commenting, liking and sharing my videos, And I hit the first stage of monetisation, and within 2 weeks I'm almost eligible for ad revenue. And should hit the targe by the weekend.

I have tried new channels on new/aged Gmail accounts, uploading movies etc etc, I've tried it all.

This is an account I've had for years, and have changed niche at least a couple of times so if somethings not working, don't be afraid to change it up, just don't post new stuff to your subscription feed for a while until you gain some new subs from your new niche.

Next step, I'm going to create a website based around my youtube niche and monetise it. I am still brainstorming and researching that one. I have made a website before, but for my day job (I am a just a self employed Window Cleaner) which i managed to rank first page and in some cases top result for my area and surrounding areas.

I am also in the process of creating content for a couple more youtube channels in the same niche, but in the languages of my top gets.

Sorry for the essay, but just thought it may help inspire people to not give up ( i almost did)

Computers/internet/marketing were just a hobby for me, but man, I'm going for it now.

I wish you good luck on your journey. I am curious about one thing, did you open the channel you were successful from scratch or was it one of the channels you changed the niche. I have a failed channel and I think I should delete this channel and open a new channel with the same e-mail address.

Man that's a lot of watch hours for posting shorts. Pretty impressive!

The video is short but the time the audience spends on it is not short. Because they watch it many times. That is for good video creators. Good luck with your short videos.

Thanks! The successful channel was the one I've had all along, I changed niche a few times and have stuck with the current niche. All new channels I created in the past failed miserably. If your thinking about deleting the channel anyway, it may be worth giving it one last shot at a new niche before you do.

There long form videos, I gave up on shorts.

Hit monetization yesterday., I may turn this into a journey thread, and update with realistic earnings to views etc.
My next step is to scale up video production and try to get out maybe a couple a week.

I plan to make long videos about the channel I mentioned, it will be 3 to 5 minutes and I think I will only do afillate marketing. Do you think I can be watched if I use completely free ai audios?

That’s a great motivation! I truly admire your determination and patience. Honestly, I don’t think I could be this patient when it comes to YouTube.

That is a really good advice and what you experienced is something that can really help people, sometimes they expect to get everything the first time and get quickly and easy money but everything required some hard work and persistance.

If you’re not in an overly saturated niche, which still can garner you lots of views, like cat videos, ie… lemme tell ya. Patience is definitely a virtue and a freaking challenge all at once. In 1 month I’ve gone from 0 subscribers to 2.5k, from 0 views to 330k, from 0 watch hours to 1900. I’m in a very, very small, niche that relates to a celebrity so of course my patience is being tested but I’m trying to ride thru this tough wave and not eye the analytics 24/7. Your post is giving me inspiration. Thank you.

I use ai voice over, I also us a mix of my own and stock footage/images. I only have the free version of capcut where I do all my editing. I literally spend nothing but my time on making videos. I have a mix of 3min up to 10min vids, I never pad out the short ones with fluff and I think my subs appreciate that.

Thanks, I have nearly given up so many times, but luckily, this latest attempt I actually enjoy making the videos, it wasn't until I started concentrating on affiliate and stopped trying so hard to get into the partner program that I actually qualified for it. Go figure. Maybe before I was trying too hard and it showed in my video quality idk.

Very true, i must admit when i very first started i was in the "how hard can it be?" Gang, and as it turns out, it can be. Thats why i recommend choosing a niche you enjoy, then it feels like more of a hobby than a chore.

Those are some nice numbers, keep at it. I'm glad I can inspire people

It can never be easier than that.....

First day of showing ads, not much as these are basically just search based view and I haven't uploaded for a week and my next video is being uploaded tonight. My last couple of videos have been hitting youtube recommendations so hopefully this will increase.

I'm pretty impressed with the $10 rpm. Now need to concentrated on maybe doing a couple of videos per week and go from there.

I had a strike on this channel too, I just waited it out pretty much, that was a couple of niche changes ago when I was toying around with uploading movies, I got around the copyright I'd, then bam, was slapped with a manual less than an hour after uploading lol

Just create an account with elevenlabs, you get something like 10k characters per month, but I have 4 accounts that I rotate, so I pretty much never run out

Are you using the same IP with different browsers, I can open 4 accounts very easily.
