Dont Buy Bitcoin - Prediction

I remember reading something (or hearing...) about a guy who emailed something like 5,000 stock traders or something. For half he said "[STOCK] is going to go up today". And the other half he said "[STOCK] is going to go down today". The ones he was right for he kept in his list. The ones he was wrong for he took off his list. The next day he repeated the process. By the end of day 10, if it was a 50/50 split, he had five people he had emailed ten correct answers in a row to, and five job requests.

Aren't altcoins directly linked to BTC price? Last I looked into altcoins Litecoin was the biggest one and the swings were almost identical to bitcoin's. Has this changed? Genuinely curious.

You don't need to be psychic to realize that BitCoin is on the high end of a trend that can't go on much longer.

Look at the all-time chart... it is clearly at both an all-time high and at the top of a multi-year long rally. It COULD go higher... but I'd be terrified to buy in right now.

True, I'd also hesitate to buy in right now at the current price, I'd imagine it will drop short-term as well. Long-term though... up up and away

Long term I view BC the same way I view gold... except with the possibility that governments might try to ban it in the future if it challenges traditional currencies. The Fed and the EU are greedy.

That concern aside its like gold, just buy low and don't make it more than a very small percentage of your overall investment portfolio. Right now the stock market is high though and so if BC, so most of you should be in a waiting pattern.

What usually happens when bitcoin is high is people put some of that into altcoins that hopefully are rising. Then when the BTC price drops back you can buy again with the altcoin. That can cause what you noticed. Personally I stick a bit of the profit into altcoins when they are new with the hope it goes up a little. Ive not done much with litecoin so cant comment on that one but have a good feeling about DASH (short term at least).

Theres a small chance the ETF will be approved in March. The price is artificially high due to people speculating on that right now so I think if it doesnt get approval the price will bomb.
If it does get approved who knows where it will end up! Also ETC coin is pegged to be the next one up for approval if that were to happen

Also expecting the £ to fall through the floor once artice 50 is triggered. Im hoping BTC is still strong at that point as I have faith long term in the £.

I cant see it being banned. People are starting to realize its not the just for anonymous criminal stuff. Hell its not even that anonymous when compared to others like Monero. SWIFT bank are looking at using blockchain tech as are a few others i think. Theres a lot of places calling it the new gold and I agree. Its not going anywhere at least until all the coins are mined but thats waay off.
