Donation system - make the BHW rich content again

I like this idea more for Jr. Exec and above members. It might give the current yellow and Jr. VIP members a reason to be more contributing members of the forum (the incentive being the off-chance of getting a donation). However, the two points from this thread below highlight the issues with this hypothetical feature.
  • The number of spam threads will go up exponentially. @BassTrackerBoats is right about this. Even if such a feature were limited only to Jr. Execs and above, we'd have a bunch of yellow-membered morons thinking it's acceptable for them to link to their Patreon or whatever account and violate rule 3.9. "Now that i has copy/pasted method, plz donate to me so that i can mak monies or ad me skyp (live:back2spambhwforum) for link".
  • "You're Only Posting For Money". @elavmunretea knows about this from first-hand experience. The peanut gallery loves derailing threads whenever they get the slightest suspicion that someone is trying to profit off of them in someway.
This means, that hundreds of Jr. ViP users would be fcked. I think that free market should decide who can do it. Regulations are always bad because brings huge work for regulators. Of course, 100 posts + 1000 words thread is must have to stop spam. However, I think users will make the job for moderators with report button. Sorry, we are not donkeys like mods are threating us. We can find out that post has been made only for money and simply, just don't donate. We can find out thread spammers and report.

I have this idea because though about publishing few methods. Not enough for The Marketplace and not worth to give it for 100% free, even in JR.VIP zone to just get few likes.
I bet that many, many people have some own methods, tips and tricks but not sharing because haven't nothing if contribute.

I am not Jr.exec but it's probably not worth more than Jr.vip, it's the rank only. I bet that their section is dead even more than standard Jr.vip :)

It will increase spam. People trying to get to a 100 ASAP and just copy paste or spin a 1000 word article.

I assume you mean "treating" and even then it makes no sense, I don't experience that at all.

They don't share their current money makers because why should they? So noobs can ruin the method? Not very smart.

I am not Jr.exec
Duh, you think we are donkeys that can't read your title? :p

This I have to agree with, although Jr. VIP gave me other benefits and it's more a donation to The forum the Jr. VIP section is very disappointing.

Haven't read the full thread but pretty sure people would be rehashing any old crap and it would just encourage spam and useless threads.

This is worth only if you want to donate or start selling ;)
When I have bought it, I was excited to see Jr.VIP section and... WTF is that ;) but I don't regret, it's good purchase

I didn't mean for Jr. Exec members to only post in the Jr. Exec forum, I meant that I liked the idea more for Jr. Exec members to have a donations system whenever they post guides anywhere on the forum. The key word there is "more".

As I said, with that part I agree I felt the same.

I would implement it to Jr. VIP cuz most cant pay for it anyway and if the rule would be that you lose your Jr.VIP if you post rehashed shit then it might work.

But as being said before, studying the average people that visit here, I don't see them donating shit.

I think we need to up the troll level on BHW, we should have donations for the best insults.

$1 per dick joke
$3 per Charles Floate Pedo gag
$3 per CEOSam video

Hello. I liked this idea .
I will take all the difficulty of beeng doated first
;^>

I would favour a bounty system over donations. For reputable members that create bots or lengthy tutorials etc it could be a nice encouragement to create something for the board that is often requested.
So we wouldn't end up with dozens and dozens of useless stuff, but tools and guides that are needed.

Let's be real... the quality of BHW is going down day by day. The majority of the best contributors have moved on and all that's left is a large group of people who post to humour others, a small group of people that ask questions & want to learn and an even smaller group of people who contribute quality threads.

If you're specifically referring to making money, then BHW is not unique to this. It's the same on AffPlayBook and STM where a number of well known posters have gone quiet, disappeared or given up completely and moved into new pastures.

The latter end of last year was tough for affiliate marketing. The 'big' traffic sources have fought back and made it increasingly difficult for people to run campaigns, either through free or paid traffic mediums. This has had a serious knock-on effect that has resulted in some affiliate networks closing shop due to financial difficulties.

There are still goldmines and loopholes out there, as there always will be. You just have to work lot harder to find them and put the systems in place to milk them. I also understand why some people are reluctant to share methods, especially when you end up with a herd of sheep that try to engage their wallets before their brains.

All the main contributors I know off the forum aren’t making less money... they’re rolling in it. They just dislike the direction the forum is leading towards & got bored of the same shit over and over again.

I'm not saying they make less money (whatever they're doing now), I'm just saying that there's a similar pattern on other forums. Affiliate marketing is significantly more difficult that a year ago, there is no question about this.

As for the same shit, I agree and I just tend to ignore it now. There is a lot of regurgitation and people do post with ulterior motives. I have three pet peeves at the moment:

1) Jr VIPs who have open infractions and want to open a new BST. They suddenly seem to think posting something of 'value' will help them get that infraction removed. I use the term 'value' very loosely here because it's a plea of leniency more than something of actual value.

2) People who have posted methods or case studies that are veiled attempt to get affiliate signups. Most of these are methods are regurgitated, old and they generally fail at the first step.

3) The amount of BS posts in the Market Place. If someone was to audit every post in the market place, I'm confident 90% of posts would be orders, review copies or just thread bumping by the seller.

At the same time, I understand that this is both a forum and a business. There is often going to be a very difficult balance to strike between the two.
