Donation system - make the BHW rich content again

What about to introduce donation system for content creators here? It would motivate a lot of users to create rich content tutorials and methods.

I think about to allow users add a simple words on the end of the article:
"Do you like my content? Donate"
+ single paypal button or crypto currency adress

With rules: article needs to have 1000 words minimum and 100 posts on forum.

This would allow to make some beers for Jr.Exec or other contributors.


Pluses:
-don't need to code this, creator can put it yourself, depends to rules only
-more methods, more articles and rich content
-better engagement
-BHW don't need to deal these transactions

Minuses:
-additional work for moderators, to not allow to use it in some bullshit

Not a bad idea, lets see what other people think.

Do you think people making millions will come here to post for 10 bucks donation? as far as I know we all want to add value to BHW & we really don't need donations for it..

BHW has certainly helped us all in our paths & people writing here are mostly doing so to add up value & to give back to the forum.

Thats a nice idea, but I dont think many would donate..

But still people publishes methods, some are very nice like tutorials for shopify, etc. These people have nothing than likes and sometimes when they publish here, their methods are destroyed by mass rush

People can donate for Jr. VIP and post in the Jr. VIP section.

I don't know if you understand. Why people should post in JR.VIP section if they have nothing from this? Some people are posting, some are deleting methods like guy with video tutorials in JR.VIP. I mean, nowadays, JR.VIP means nothing, anyone can have it, it's like posting to mass.

I thought about the same thing yesterday and donating in crypto with a little tweaking it can def improve the content wuality

Maybe even do something like “paid posts” that u have to pay in order to read or whatever

I just went through every thread in the JR Vip section going back to August of last year (much easier than it sounds) and saw no threads with video tutorials deleted.

There were 4 threads deleted: one had affiliate links, 2 were promotional and one was offering a freebie but requested a review.

Maybe the thread you are talking about was in one of the subforums that is available to everyone.

As to your suggestion I can only see the place getting spammed by every Tom, Dick and Harry trying to make a few dollars and not sharing to help others but rather to help their pocketbook. The staff deletes tons of those every day as if you want to promote on BHW you have to pay the owners of the forum.

@Billy_Batts is correct (man, I hate saying that about him!), the spam level will cause the heads of the staff to explode should this idea be implemented.

In my opinion this is a good idea. But it will increase the work load of moderators. Let us see what the admin has to say about this.

Like the idea, but the dicks would say “you’re only posting for $” and use that as an argument.

Could implement it like Steemit.

Add funds to BHW and then withdraw. So not an external system.

Pretty sure someone kept reporting his account there, not a BHW thing.

I went to try find the vid where he was throwing money around and noticed they were all gone.

It can be no feature, just rules change to not punish for this.

This is perfect for a REAL BHW coin! We can embed every (opting) user with a wallet and transfer the donated coins though out own blockchain.

Let's be real... the quality of BHW is going down day by day. The majority of the best contributors have moved on and all that's left is a large group of people who post to humour others, a small group of people that ask questions & want to learn and an even smaller group of people who contribute quality threads.

If nothing is done to stop the decline, I can't imagine BHW being around a few years down the line. I remember someone mentioning this a few months back (Possibly when the t0mmy controversy happened) and either DD or another staff member said something like "Members come and go" but it seems to me like more members (that we should want to keep) are going.

Last I heard, BHW is working on a complete marketplace overhaul, which could possibly function similar to SEOClerks, where you have an internal account with BHW that you can top-up to spend on the marketplace and withdraw to your PayPal etc as a seller. This would be the perfect system to implement a donation tool like this, as it could all be kept inside of BHW and be completely automated. If moderators remove a post for spam, any money earned from that could go into a community pot, or even just to help fund the site's development.

You see, I don't think it would. It may even decrease spam, as members would understand that quality content would be well received and spam would be removed and the funds refunded/ my suggestion above.

Steemit does this perfectly (It's a social media platform, not a forum before you go and remove the link) and while I'm sure they get some nonsense posts, there are some amazing contributions there.

There don't seem to be any quality Xen add-ons that can offer this straight out of the box, but you may be able to use this information to help. I know this can be done, as I worked for another forum that had something similar to this.

Spammers already cooking up that copypasta for when the floodgates open.

Internal account to make BHW sales platform is some nightmare. Especialy with PayPal, disputes, fees, chargeback frauds.
I don't like any escrow models. User pays to BHW, then you wait weeks for withdrawal and to PayPal. Nightmare.
I will delete the PayPal from my thread in next days, just because it's bullshit, not payment method.
