Hey BHW,

I got a small that I do not quite get and hope you guys can help me.

Let's take an example. I got hosting (web, WP, whatever) at NameCheap and now I want to buy a new domain, but the domain I want to buy is cheaper on InternetBS rather than NameCheap.

1. If I buy the new domain from InternetBS, I'll have to wait 60 days to transfer it to NameCheap?
2. Is there any way to make the new domain to point to the NameCheap Hosting?
3. Or the best option is to buy it directly from your hosting provider?

PS: I do not promote any of these sites, I just used them as an example.

PPS: If it's in the wrong forum, please move it where it belongs.

For transfer you would need to contact InternetBS for rules. It should be that you must wait 45 days otherwise transfer fee will be voided.

Just point your domain name servers to your NameCheap Hosting. You can get instructions from both NameCheap and InternetBS on this.

Just buy domain wherever it suites you and point DNS properly.
Don't go with some unknown domain name providers (registrars) as they might hit you up with high fees after.

So I can buy any domain from anywhere and use it, doesn't matter the hosting provider, right?

Thanks mate!
