Hello, my domain with .xyz extension got suspended. This is the response I got from my hosting company when I inquired why my site was down:

**********.xyz has been suspended from gen.xyz Anti-Abuse Departmant.

I was promoting adult cam girl stuff on domain. I used GSA Ser and built around 7,500 back links. Is it because I was just blasting back links or adult backlinks to non adult pages? Are other domain extensions less susceptible to this? Would this of happened if I wasn't promoting an adult site and just building links. I didn't have anything illegal on the page. Whats the best practice with adult sites and GSA Ser? I don't really care about the domain it was a tier 2 domain and I only spent a few dollars to buy it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

.xyz domains got a pretty bad rep for spamming and use in churn and burn projects, so gen.xzy set about making a system to suspend what it sees as abusers. However, this is mostly automated and based on blacklists, so your domain might have appeared on one. Check your domain in some blacklist checkers, and try this form to get your domain unsuspended: https://gen.xyz/account/submitticket.php?action=unsuspend

No, it is not due GSA backlinks.
Maybe your hosting is against adult stuff?

It is due to Adult stuff. There are less chances of getting banned by backlinks. Also your domain extension matter.

I think its not because of the gsa backlinks, hosting issue (because of adult content).

I think you are right. The domain shows up on spamhaus. I had the domain on a cheap vps hosting service. which may of gotten hacked because their servers were lagged to death and they had to issue everyone new IPs. I also searched both the original IP and the new IP they gave me and it said "This IP or range has been observed to be involved in at least one of the following activities; sending spam, snowshoe spamming, hijacked IP space, or associated with bulletproof hosting." I have sinced moved to better hosting after the first IP becuase the server was lagged. My new hosting IP doesn't show up. I wasn't sending any emails.

The new IP from new host which is shared hosting does show up on VirusTotal 1/94. Not sure how I would remove that.

even as a tier 2, Id stay away from .xyz domains as they get auto-flagged way too often

It sounds like the suspension may be due to a combination of your promotion of adult content and the aggressive backlinking strategy you used with GSA SER

I got my domain unsuspended thanks to help from Steptoe's post. It's because I was on a cheap vps hosting service and people in the same range of IP's were spamming which cause it to get flagged by Spamhaus which in turn caused it to be suspended by XYZ. I would stay away from XYZ domains because they just use an automated system to suspend domains then it takes a few days to get it back if at all. Thanks again to Steptoe.

Glad you sorted it out!
