what you want to do is called "domaining" - you should look for it on google, then look for the big websites / forums / etc that deal with that topic.
Personally, I would say you are NOT ready to start - you don't know anything about what you are getting into and it looks like you are about to lose a lot of money.
As laowai tryed to point out to you: It is extremely unlikely you will find an available domain name with any value.
Most domainers are looking for qualities besides just a recognizable word: they look for domain age (your new domain would have 0 age), existing backlinks (again, you'd have 0). They also look for traffic and cpc for the words in the domain (this would be your only real shot at making a little money - if you got a domain that was an emd for a really great keyword).
Finally: if you have to worry about spending $5-15 to sell a domain, you do NOT have the budget to get into domaining. (or was your plan to buy $10 domains and sell them for $20?)
