Hi everyone,

I’m researching domain registrations and I’d like to clarify a technical question.
Is it possible to register domains that use mixed characters, combining Latin and Cyrillic alphabets?

For example:

  • mydomаin.com → (where the “а” is Cyrillic) → converts to xn--mydomin-6fg.com

Has anyone here had practical experience with this type of registration? Is it actually allowed to acquire such domains, or do registrars impose restrictions on mixing alphabets?

Thanks in advance for any insights.

It's possible with IDNs, but the domain must use a single language script, not a mix.
