As posted above stay clear. PR6 with no backlinks ? Very fake.
Having said that, if you have been offered it VERY cheap or free, you could try churning and burning and sell on.

There is no way a domain can get such a pagerank without having any back links.
The way the domain has gained the PR is by another domain bouncing it's traffic to it.
The domain will loose it's PR in the next google update so don't waste your time OR money.

The PR of the domain may show as if it were legit by all PR checkers. However it's not!
PR-s often change with each google update, where fake PR domains go back to 0 and others receive a PR increase.
The best thing to do is consider this before buying:
1- Is the price too cheap. There are general prices valuing high PR domains and if it seems too good to be true it probably is.
2- Check the backlinks and domain history.
3- Always ask as much information as to how he got such a high PR.
If you consider these 3 points you won't get scammed.

Poor or no backlinks, poor alexa, cheap price = fake. Even if it passes the pr checker sites. These sites only check a few things (e.g. google's "info:" queries) and they are easy to trick.
No one will sell a true pr6 for peanuts. Worth a few thousand dollars at least. Otherwise is fake, penalized, pending lawsuit, or whatever.
Forget free/cheap lunch or you'll be scammed 1000 times over, especially in the IM industry. In fact in the IM industry you'll be scammed 1000 times over even if things are expensive lol, but that's beyond the scope of this thread I guess.
