I am not sure about an aspect of domain names that seems like it may be vital to know. I will give a bit of background to exemplify what I need some clarification on ...if somebody can chime in.
(PS. I'm not trying to spam, I just could not find another way to ask this question!)
- I have built a website under a .co.m domain name.
- I have secured both .co.m and .co.m.au
- The site is targeted to an .au (Australian) audience
- Securing both domains is to catch users who drop the .au, and for general versatility
- I have redirected as follows:
- Both triple w .co.m & .co.m.au point to the .co.m - as triple w and non-triple w are viewed as separate by Google.
- .co.m.au points to .co.m
- What implications does this setup have for PR and SEO (if any) ?
- This setup works well for what I want it to do, is there anything wrong with this ??
- Is there any suggestions/reasons to change this setup and why ??
