Domain ltd matters?

Hello everyone, I just decided to use my old expired domain name which is .co and it suits perfectly for my niche but the question here is, can you rank .co domains like a .com is it impact seo rankings or it doesn't matter? I want to rank it in USA mostly and Europe too. Also, I see spam score is 56% but it has only few backlinks, i never spam it, is that a problem? The age no tool show but I know this domain name is 5-6 years old. If i will re register it will show as a new domain name or not? Thanks in regards.

this one I'm not sure about but I think that if a domain has not been registered for 1+ year then it counts as a new domain. But I might be wrong, let's see what other people say

The domain not registered 4-5 years.
 
ltd does not matter. so you can rank it same like .com domain. Spam score creates impact in SEO. First try to reduce the spam score using original quality content and disavow toxic backlinks.

It have only 6 backlinks all are from blogpost . com, I just want to know if after 5 years to register again is considered as new domain or old? Why all metrics shows but the age not?

because wherever its pointed to, are still alive and being crawled.
Also, you are comparing a 3rd party metric (spam score etc) vs a google metric Aged or not.
Also, blogspot link is usual, it's not an usual at all.
Spam score is whatever, honestly.

It's not a big deal. If prove quality content you can get rank on google.

Yep, you can rank a .co domain like a .com, but what really counts is having awesome content and getting good links from other sites. If your domain has a high spam score, it's important to clean up any bad links to boost your site's credibility.
 
you can rank .co domain also but make sure you offer an good quality content to user and also build high quality backlinks and the domain age is also an added advantage.
 
No it doesn’t matter if our website is good enough then we can get traffic

You can definitely rank .co domain like .com domain and both are not specific to particular country so it won't make any significant difference and you can target the countries that you want to.

For the spam score of 56%, you should check moz data in more detail and see due to which links it is showing such a high spam score and can try to delete those links if they still exists. You might have not spammed it but make sure that it is not spammed in between the duration you lost it and someone else purchased and dropped it.

Regarding the Domain age, it depend on the tool you check throug but on who is domaintools, I see it counts from the day the domain is recently updated, So if you buy the expired domain then it will count from the day you buy now. It will show both date of first creation of the domain and last update date.
 
you can use it for sure, but make quality content and use diversified backlinks to rank soon.
 
Using a .co domain might not be as strong as a .com for SEO, but with good content and careful backlinking, you can still rank well worldwide. Just be careful of spam scores and make sure your links are trustworthy to avoid problems.
 
When your name is taken what about use this or the as prefix+ firstname? Like; thejohn or thisjohn, thisallan, etc,etc.....?
Then today in the modern AI tech world would you not stand out a bit more off the crowd when you have a.me or .blog domain?
Think at Tim Ferris now he is famous with his domain: tim.blog

If your are a coach, copywriter, webdesigner, that sounds more personal with a .me or .blog domain.
But on the other side, for an email address I would prefer a com email it's sounds more common use.

I'm not sure if that will makes users confusing when I have a firstname.me or firstname.blog domain but for email have an firstname.com email address?
I don't think that you will not rank with a .me or .blog domain because many people using modern doman extensions today.

What do you think about a.me or .blog domain to stand out more today ? Or do you prefer the com domain with prefix too like thisjohn or thejohn.com ?
