Domain Extension

Hello friends,

Today i bought two domains with the extension of "example.co.com" and "example.us.org"

I bought this domain because my keyword is available only with this extension.

Now I am really confused is this good for SEO?

Can I rank my website with this type of domain extension?

( I am asking here because I don't have a little bit of idea and I will do a lot of things for few months and I will not get a result then it's hard for me. )

your extension is fine... google will rank your site whatever the extension it is but the main thing is a keyword which you are using should be competitive with other keywords and still your site wants to be rank higher you should use the backlink option for your sites.

Extensions have meanings. US means yiur website is built for US visitors. It will convert badly with other countries. And org keans organization as a charity so this what us visitors will expect from your website.

So, for google it doesn't care, but for people, It depends on your actual use of the website. Is it a charity organization for usa visitors ?

if you can find a domain extension that relates to either your location or your niche, you get a slight edge. For example, if you're an EU based business and get a .eu extension, or if you're a non profit and you get a .org etc
I'm not sure how much of an edge it is, I've never A/B'd this, but it seems plausible.

Yes, you can rank with any kind of extension,
EMDs are good when it comes to low competitive niches/keywords and not as they used to be, just don't expect much from this

I kinda disagree with most of the comments on this post. As far as I have seen the search is most of the time dominated by TLDs like .com or .org or .net or country specific domains like .in or .us
Sometimes other types of domain also do well, but its a rare scene.

I wouldn't use those extensions unless my product is directly related to it.

For example a lot of tech companies use .io and it works perfectly for them but if you're trying to sell sandwiches on sandwich.io I doubt it will be of any relevance.
