Domain copyright information?

Hello there!

How to verify if a domain comes under any restrictions, reason for asking.
I'm about to buy a domain name that contains a name of magazine site, it seems like a registered mag co.(not sure yet)
If it is registered can they send copyright claim
Like if i buy "bbcnewstoday" can i get copyright claim there ?

Domains are not protected under copyright law. Web addresses are protected by trademark law though.

If a company feels you are infringing on their trademark, they can go after you and request the domain be turned over to them.
