Hi guys,

The domain I wanna buy is unavailable on go daddy, but when I search the domain on the web it doesn't even open the page.. what is that mean? can I do something about that cause I really don't wanna spend hundreds of $ with brokers and things...

I am not sure about this but you should try other domain registrar and hosting company: namecheap or hostgator

If it is unavailable this means someone took that name.
yea but it also has 0 pages 0 images... i guess that the owner forgot about it or something...
however it will expire on 20 next month in feb.. do you think i can do something to get it now? with backorder it will not work cuse 1 month is too long..

1. That whole backorder thing started by G0daddy is a sham; read the small print, after you pay the non-refundable backorder fee, they cannot and do not guarantee that they'll secure the name on your behalf.

2. You best option is to check the name at:

Code:
https://www.godaddy.com/whois

What you want to look for is how long the current owner has held the name.

Next, you want to go to:

Code:
https://archive.org/

You check the archive to determine if the site was previously developed.

When you put all if the above info together, you can determine if the person who is currently holding the domain is just a squatter, domain name investor or someone who was or is trying to develop the domain.

3. After that, (if you really want the domain) you will need to check it a couple of times a day when it gets close to the expiration date. That way you can tell if the current owner has renewed it or not.

If the domain name expires, it'll go into the redemption period phase; once again, you'll need to monitor daily to see if the owner decides to redeem it. If it makes it past that phase, it will go to auction.

You can tell if you are going to have other bidders by checking the traffic to the domain through SEMRush/Ahrefs, or if it goes to auction, G0daddy will display the traffic count on the sales page.

If it makes it to the auction, make note of the exact time the auction ends and don't *bid on it until 11 minutes before the auction ends. If you wait until 5 minutes, G0daddy will likely extend the auction.

Hopefully, you'll get it!

*Make sure you have a Godaddy account with the "add on" to bid on domains; don't wait until the last minute to set that up, do that NOW!

Beware with that broker services , no matter it success or not , you will need to pay for the fee before everything , and it’s come with % of the prices

Hi thanks for reply.
Well everything is good.. the domain has 2 owners and was first time registered in 2008. Not too much traffic since that day and it has 0 traffic in the last year...what I am afraid of is that the owner has set up the auto-renew... idk if is possible for a domain that doesn't have at last a web page..

However what is the first time that I hear is the auction phase... well if the domain expires let s say tomorrow 16.01.2021 at 23:59 PM, form 17.01.21 00 am isn't free for all? or from that point GoDaddy purchased it instantly?

I have never tried to backorder a domain before.. you could try though.

Keep in mind the owner might have auto renew on so as soon as it is about to expire it will be automatically renewed.

If like you say it seems like the owner forgot about the domain you might be able to get it.

I think you can backorder, 1 month is not long. If you don't want to wait, why don't you find another domain name?

The first phase is the redemption phase

The second phase is the auction phase

You have to be diligent about monitoring targeted domains.

I have snagged some seroius WINNERS by waiting while watching

You can reach out to the owner of the domain through whois. You will see the email of the owner if the privacy is unlocked. However,if it's not, you will see an email like privacy@gd3ytre33. Send an email to them through this. It will redirect and drop in their registered email address with the registrar
