I have project that consumes alot of resources internet/computing power, is it best to buy vps, or buy amazon instances?
Please need advice.

VPS and Amazon instances are very similar. Both are virtual machines. The main difference is VPS (virtual machines) servers are run on a single server e.g. dedicated server split into a few VPSs while Amazon instances (virtual machines) are no longer confined to a single host server, but are abstracted from the underlying hardware completely. And they can "self-service" themselves i.e. expand the resources when needed. A typically virtualised VPS doesn't have this ability.
Okay, I'll cut the technical crap here.
Here are a few good options:
http://linode.com (Linux)
http://digitalocean.com (Linux)
http://runabove.com (Linux, Windows)
Amazon and Microsoft Azure are good too. But I prefer linode or digital ocean.
