Doge Coins.. Where is it going? Thinking out loud here.

Yeah, another thread about Doge Coins. It might annoy some of you, which is the reason I put this in the Lounge.

BUT for those of you who love this coin as much as I do, where do you think this coin is going?
I mean, for sure this coin wont be worth anything like 1$ a coin anytime soon, if ever, but the amount of coins you can get right now is craaazy! I did a little Investment and bought 170k Doges. I hated myself for not acting earlier on either Bitcoin or Litecoin, so I hope to be making a little profit over time (This is a long time "Investment")

The block reward is halfing in about 2 weeks or something from now, which makes the coin way harder to mine, so my prediction is that it will increase in value!
I've been following a few discussions on Reddit (they have their own section) and things are going crazy! People are giving away these coins to spread them, a few bussiness have chosed to accept Doge as a payment option, and lately I've seen some guy buy a car with Doges!

Now, if only I could actually make this, and had the funds to establish it, I would make a FIVERR clone based on Doges! Spread the site around on Youtube, Reddit and Facebook and make it go viral! Huuge Money to be made here...
These cryptocurrencies are shooting up like trees in a forrest, and there is alot of, ahem... shitty coins out there, the advantage to Doge is the community behind it backing it up!

So... How many coins do you have? What's your goal/plan with it? What do you think will happen to its value, and I could go on an on?

I have 100.000, keeping it longterm. Going to sell 10.000 if they reach $ 0,1 to cover initial cost + nice profit. 10.000 at $ 0,5. 10.000 at $2.... You get the idea, i have fixed prices at which i want to sell a part.
Even though I doubt it will be such a big succes, I also hate myself for not having bought bitcoin 2 years ago (which i was really thinking about at the time). We will see... Next week I'm also buying a miningrig to mine coins, not just Doge, I might be pretty late with it, but there are still some money to be made with the altcoins (so not Lite and Bit)

got 33K and adding some every now and then,look promising, but you have people that say that will be a flop,because is made on a meme, now I never heard of this meme before, and I am sure many people didn't also. So i think if the community keep working and spreading, will not be a flop

Next week when the halfing will start, I am not sure the price will rise, some miners may switch for other easyer coins,too.


But will make some news, in the crypto circuit, and some more people will buy may be from the miners, what have to happen in my opinion is that,news have to go mainstream, If you get news on TV, or some big websites, etc, you will see the jump, in price and more business will start to accept the coin.

To go on big news, the coin/community have to do something different,big, also the price go to 1$, would help, if the coin is perceived like fromus that could become the next Bitcoin,more people will start to buy it and more services would be created.

Is trading bitcois for Doge the only way to get a large amount of it ?

On some exchanges you can also buy them for dollars, or on ebay you can buy them with paypal...

on reddit you can buy with Amazon voucher too,paypal,etc,cheapper than ebay.

I think it isn't bad that it's based on meme. It's like saying "What does the fox say", "Gangnam Style" or "Harlem Shake" is a joke so no one will listen to it. We all know what happened.

Cool Guys, thanks for your opinion about this. It sounds silly, but daamn it's easy to get addicted to this coin. I mean you can easily spend a few hours on reddit and tons of other sites trying to get some extra coins to your wallet while it's still easy! I'm thinking: "I got to do it now, when everybody is giving it away as candy!"

Its going up but unfortunately some people are going crazy and cheating. Since im a doge seller and sell doges at a good rate on doge forum last night a guy with 7 positive reviews and what not scammed me off 101000 dogecoins its disgusting to rob someone just like that the buyer didnt pay a cent.

wow, Bitcoin when down to 650 or so now is on the 680 range, volume is very high,


Doge lost too 0.001, but volume is not to high, probably people, are just buying more,now....



Mtgox shot withdrawing of Bitcoins, people are selling, but I think big money are just buying more at cheaper price, at 650 the price went right up to 685 or so, lot of buying there,and 200 $ cheapper than yesterday.

May be BitCoin will rally again after the news is over and MTGOX will start to let people withdraw money again, may be to 1500 who knows, hope dogecoin willget strenght as a more stable Cryptocurrency.....and up to the moon

You can actually buy them on Ebay (expensive). Your best bet is to find a seller on reddit. Check out this subreddit:

Or you can buy them on Doges.org

anyone knows how to mine doge on digital ocean?

I'm just waiting for all the doge to be mined..which will be hopefully sometime next year according to some guy on reddits calculations.

Price will probably shoot up once the demand increases.

You can't. Doge is SCRYPT based and you'll need GPU's to mine them.

Those VPS's don't have GPU's that would make mining Doge profitable. You'll spend more on electricity.
