How often do you see people share stupid pictures on facebook like "this shitty dog won't get 1 like" and other sad animal pictures about shite no one gives a fuck about? Shit loads.

It's pathetic, meanwhile these are the same wankers that believe homeless people deserve to be on the streets because they are druggies or alcoholics. They don't give a fuck about man kind, the 1000's getting killed in syria, those living in famine in Africa, people locked away as slaves...

They do not give a crap, but if some hamster in a cage gets a sore foot all these mongs come out the woodwork offering to share and like a sad picture of it on facebook.

The thing with animals is, do we even need most of them?

Polar bears, sure their habitat is melting away because I want to drive a 3 litre jaguar that does 18mpg. Do I feel guilt? no. The world no longer needs polar bears so why bother saving them.

Mountain lions, we can't eat them, pet them, they want to kill us. Why the fuck do we need them? Why do we care that there are only 200 left or whatever.

White Rhinos, yeah. We have 3 left in the world and they are being protected 24/7 by armed security. Pointless.

If we lost these Rhinos, what fucking difference will it make? None.

When Cecil the lion got shot by the dentist, why on earth did that news get big? We have immigrants fleeing wars and getting themselves killed on makeshift boats and being left for dead by traffickers in the ocean but everyone got more upset by a lion which was old and a good candidate to get shot.

I don't like seeing animals getting beaten for no reason, but generally anti animal people are nobs.

I will have to disagree with a lot of you.

I am no cat or dogs owner but doing this is wrong, when you welcome a pet to your family, it becomes a part of your family, you hold responsibility for their well being. It doesn't really matter if it is rabbits, dogs, cat or pigs.

She is a very typical irresponsible dog owner, instead of training her dogs properly, she decided to tape her dogs. If you look the other way around, if you can't deal with it then why did she welcome her dog home anyway?

Yes i agree, we eat meat and kill hundred thousand of animal everyday, but this is different, no-one forces her to own a pet then treat them like shit.

I grew up in south east asia where people eat dogs for their daily meal, but not many of them are willing to eat their own dogs (did a small survey about this) and the reason here is obvious.

Yes, I have seen a thousand times worse animal abuses, but doesn't matter what you say, you can't justify this action as fine just because we all eat meat.

This reminds me of this one time I posted a comment full of hatred and body shaming about some poor girl. The comment had a clickbank link tucked in neatly.
I had people cursing me and I got a dozen life threats in my inbox. My profile eventually got banned.
But I got 4 sales (130$) just from that comment. It was deff worth it.

I am all for animal rights, but how this Facebook post got so much attention.. is just too much. I know people who say they feel sorry for a stray dog more than for a homeless person. Because, "a dog will never betray you, and humans are assholes".

Well, if you deem all humans as assholes, maybe you should look in the mirror and see how you treat other people first. If you think a dog is better friend than a human being, I feel sorry for you.

Psychologists call the opposite the bystander effect. Or the diffusion of responsibility in public settings. Which originated when a woman in NY got raped in front of a crowd, in broad daylight for 40 mins and noone called 911 cause everyone assumed someone else had.

It's weird that shrinks haven't labeled the opposite of this behavior. When everyone becomes a hero.

Seems to happen much more on social media than the real world. But this is exactly what happens when it does happen. We can all feel like heros for 5 seconds. Then logoff facebook and go back to scratching our balls / vaginas.

They were considered as work animals for thousands of years, and as food to eat in same societies far before they were some "family member".

It can't be part of your family as it is not even human. And the whole emotional pet thing didn't even start until the past 30 years, now someone would rather go in debt to see a vet, than euthanize their dog.

I'll only be satisfied when animals have the exact same rights as humans. They should be able to marry who they want without judgement. And if they commit a crime, they should be given a fair trial in court, and a proper chance at defending themselves.

I'm 100% sure these animals are just so grateful to all the nice people on Facebook who defend them so diligently. They are the true heroes, actively making the world a better place with every well placed angry rant to accompany the PETA posts they so faithfully share throughout the day.
