Yeah, YouTube shows different rankings depending on where you are and even who’s searching. Your VidIQ result isn’t wrong, it’s just showing you one version. If you check with a VPN or another device, you’ll often see different spots because of geo and personalization. The best way to check is with a clean browser (no history, incognito) or a proper rank tracker that pulls from multiple locations.

Yes, youtube does it and they also usually personalize the result so even searching twice for same thing produces different rankings. I think usually it's just first page result but shuffled though.

That's normal. vidIQ shows rankings based on your personalized results but YouTube ranks videos differently for each user, location, and device (iirc). That’s why your VPN and rank trackers give different outcomes. If you want a more accurate picture, use incognito mode or a neutral VPN and cross-check with YouTube Studio’s traffic source data. Not 100% but it should roughly tell you which keywords are actually bringing you viewers.

YouTube search results can vary based on your location, watch history, device, and even the time of day. Tools like VidIQ show estimated rankings based on their own data models, but they don’t always match what you'd see in an incognito browser or through a VPN because YouTube customizes results per user.

To check your video’s ranking somewhat accurately, try using incognito mode in your browser, set your location manually (or use a VPN), and search using the exact keyword. Even then, rankings can fluctuate due to algorithm updates or viewer behavior, so it's best to track trends over time rather than rely on a single snapshot.

Of course, it will do that to show relevant videos to each user. What might be likable in India might not be good for some other country audience.

YouTube ranks can differ by country, device, and even user history since results are personalized. That’s why you see different positions on VPNs, trackers, or directly in YouTube. To get the most accurate view, use a reliable rank tracker that checks from neutral locations without personalization.

YouTube rankings change by location, device, and user history, so results vary, and only neutral rank trackers show the most accurate picture.

Video rank changes by time, days, month, views and more factors there is no fixed ranking
