Im just wondering. Do you guys think your hop makes a difference? Like if you start a blog. Would it be better to include your name in your hop or just a bunch of numbers so the average user doesn't think its anything?
Or does this just not make a difference at all?

I was getting some OK conversion rates before but PPC is not going so well. I think I'm going to switch over to email marketing which is what everyone says. But im really not sure how to sell something VIA email.

Are you talking about your hoplink? You should be using something like the Pretty Links plugin so you're not showing the actual hoplink. Something like yourdomain.com/product looks a lot better than 21384u9025r82908420.hop.clickbank.net

If you talking about your hop in the browser like hop=xxxx then that doesn't matter because I tested it so many times. Although, you can ask the vendor to hide the hop... some will!

Your regular hoplink will look like spam to the general public regardless of whether or not you have your name or number in it. If you make your hoplink look like an extension of your domain (like FlipzSEO suggested), people will not think twice about it.

Also, do not hop around to different methods just because one isn't working out. Method hopping will just get you used to the idea of giving up instead of tweaking your old method. Instead, find out where the problem is and fix it. For example:

    • Is your CTA above the fold? If not, then place it above the fold and you'll start seeing better conversion rates.
    • What about colours? Are you using appropriate colours to attract attention (such as orange for your CTA)? If not, then change your website's colours.
    • Is your ad copy enticing? Is it written in a way that makes the user want to learn more or is it written like a typical sales copy?
    • Does your landing page feature the keyword your visitor submitted to get to your website frequently? If you're not sure, check your keyword density and make sure it's between 1-3%.
    • Are the keywords you are targeting relevant to your ad copy and landing page? If not, then make them relevant.
    • Are you rotating ads? You need to constantly test new ad copies by doing an A/B test (make it so the ads appear evenly, and then select the one that performs the best).
These are just a few things to check for, but you get the point.

You should redirect the hop through your own website ... like flipzseo.com/health.html or something

It's important, but the skip and jump are really where you're going to get your distance ;)
