I'm wondering if theme have any impact in boosting ranking and indexing process,
Does ranking and indexing have anything to do with theme?

I'm trying to start a new blog and I'm considering either jannah or generatepress theme

Short answer is no.

Long answer is it depends. If the theme impedes on your website's performance, then it could potentially impact your ranking.

But majority of things that limit a website's chances at ranking are beyond themes.

not that much to be honest,
your real concern should be the website speed.

Speed, so if it s a slow theme your going to suffer

When I started creating the websites - I spent much time to choose the best theme. Now I realize the true - just take the easiest theme, make the basic improvements and don't worry.
So, NO - it does NOT effect on ranking

The choice of a WordPress theme does not directly influence your search engine ranking, It can affect factors that do impact your ranking, such as page load speed, mobile responsiveness, code structure, and user experience. Therefore, It's important to select a well-optimized theme that aligns with SEO best practices to create a positive environment for search engines and users .

Theme boosts your site speed, so for a ranking factor Speed of the site is important

So you can use the plugin and the theme efficiently

IMO selecting the correct theme is very important.

If the theme is bloated and slow then it will certainly impact your SEO rankings. Also, I prefer to choose the theme which had most of the important features inbuilt. For example, related posts section and sidebar posts with thumbnails. Why use extra plugins when you have these features built in by default?

If you are just starting then go with Generatepress theme. It is a very neat, clean and lightweight theme you can start with.

Yes, site speed and design can indirectly affect your website's performance, which in turn affects your website ranking.

The theme can impact website speed and user experience, which in turn can affect the website's ranking. While the impact may not be significant, it can still have an effect

The WordPress theme you use can partially affect your Google ranking. Factors you need to pay attention to include site speed and internal linking. A poor WordPress theme can be made SEO-friendly, or you can choose an SEO-optimized theme for an easier route.

can you please explain further why it's shit?
Thank you!
It didn't feel optimised at all. Too many useless bloated widgets.
Just switching from Astra to Neve without altering my site layout increased my mobile pagespeed score by around 20.

It can. Generally lower quality themes can be considered too "bland" during manual inspections, if the site itself looks lower quality there's a good chance that it wont rank as high either. Plus there's also the key factor that some themes aren't really SEO optimized & can also be slow (which again, affects rankings)
