Does Website Speed Affect SEO?

Yes it does related to UX.
You don't want your visitors to leave due low speed loading, which G tracks to rank your site on the SERPS

If someone is claiming to have increased conversion or SEO thanks to good page speed, they are probably going from 1 minute loading on a fast connection to 5 seconds on a slow connection.

If a website is loading in 10 secs on slow connection, chances are it won't matter if you manage to get to 2 seconds.

My direct competitors are ranking first 6 places with a total speed load of almost 20 seconds.

My website is around 2 - 3 seconds and I'm on the 7 th place.
This pretty much sums it up. Everyone has been repeating the same thing for years (that a good performance will improve your SEO) and maybe it does to some extent, but the reality is that there are other factors that are much more important like backlinks and content. Speeding up your website won’t probably improve your rankings overnight.

Yes, Surely it affects. Loading speed is much important and one of the factors for increasing the ranking.

Try to implement as much as fast loading to keep the visitors live.

It does, but its a sort of competitive advantage. It doesn't come into play unless your competing with sites who have highly speed optimised webpages.

speed affect ranking.
but avada can be fast if you can strip some of their bloated and uncecessary code.

Not at all.
but in some cases, it has some effects just because of using VPNs or irrelevant content.

Instead of going for a slow theme go for Astra or something else and yes speed of the site will affect on SEO. It depends on many factors for SEO and you can say speed of the site is one of them.

Maybe or maybe not.
I think it doesn't because your content and activities are responsible for your SEO

Good aproach (for WP) is to use a cache layer, for example WP-Rocket or W3 Total Cache.

Page speed has a small impact on the ranking (probably through the time on site).
But for sure you has a big impact for the users visiting your page!

Page speed is a direct ranking factor, a fact known even better since Google's Algorithm Speed Update. However, speed can also affect rankings indirectly, by increasing the bounce rate and reducing dwell time.

Yes dear, Speed is also a main factor to rank your website on search engine. If your website and others website has everything same but others website has better loading speed then that website will rank up from yours.

I used the Neve theme on a site I made since it's one of the fastest. When you add images and video plus any trackers, etc. it slows down. I even did Auto optimize, lazy loading and couldn't get my page speed score for mobile above 90.

long story short, faster is better for the homepage
